You're welcome! I like to favorite pieces that I find inspiring. I've been thinking about these little turned dolls for a while, thinking that it would be interesting to make a set of colloquial dolls - local colorful character types instead of Japanese people. I like your use of woodburning for detailing the dolls.

We were thinking the same way - but I wanted to do dolls of fairytales - like "Little Red Riding Hood" - never had enough time But those were the beginning

Hah that's funny, every time I play that CD I decide I'm really going to learn Jack-a-Roe & Deep Elem blues.
I learned Dark Hollow as a kid & can't remember from where, but definately have it in my head with a real old-timey high lonesome sound to it, and a slightly different melody.
I remember David Bromberg - a local guitar favorite back in the day - doing a version in the 70's, and thinking, "Pretty good, but not as good as the 'original'." Wish I could remember where I learned it from. As a wee lad I would lay awake deep into the night listening to WWVA on a ho-made crystal radio, so there's no telling what permanent damage that did.

Thanx for the 's on Railroad Office and Train Station , and the comment. I'd say from your pic that that station really needed some work on it before becoming a tourist trap...
