I use a manfrotto. I can't remember the exact model, but manfrotto's products are all pretty good.

Well, I have to be honest with you. With tripods you get what you pay for. Anything under 100 bucks is very cheap and will be flimsy. I spent 90 dollars on my first tripod and regretted it for the year and a half that I used it for. My advice is to do without (or prop your camera on a rock) until you can afford to put a bit more cash into it.
I recommend that you take a look at Slik and Manfrotto tripods. My policy is not to skimp, but that's just me. It depends on how dedicated you want to be.
