I hate queues and avoid them at all costs if possible but sometimes they are inevitable.

The Burj Khalifa is a remarkable building - I'm not totally sure I've done it justice

we've just been away for nearly a month visiting Cape Town   and Dubai

Our brief experience of snow has gone for now. Unlike the Inuit people with many words 
for snow, if it does fall in the UK we only have one word for it  -  chaos

The "Truly cool..." sunflower   was taken on a similar journey two years ago in France

"Like snowflakes..." was only a flower but it's as close as we've got to snow this year

I nearly submitted another version of "Pretty flamingo..." rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise.

Try turning your computer screen 90 degrees that way to show this - it looks like a 
scene from 'Alice through the looking glass' - totally weird and disturbing I think...
