I'm doing fabulous. Just working out schoolwork. Finally on break. I don't know id you got my text then, if your phone was messed up, but I am currently obsessed with a ship between a goat and a skeleton. Trust me on this one. It's beautiful. And entirely based around puns. I've also been working out my art skills. And drawing fanart of the goat and skeleton. It's also beautiful and I'm trash.

Me, too, honestly. But, to be real, I want to work on getting back into the community. I realized a lot of my problem with not staying in touch with people/keeping up with my art and writing was because of my seasonal junk. Now I'm starting to feel like I can maintain working on art and writing.

Which, reminds me, I'm working on MayBelle's Circus 2.Consistently. I'm only a little ways in, but if you're still interested, I'd love to hear your opinions.

Also, how is Abnormal Destiny? Any updates? I know I still have to finish reading, but what's new with it?

Yeah it seems that way lol. I've basically left Skype, and when I was there I usually couldn't tell if you were active or not, plus you were going through stuff so I didn't want to bother you.

But yeah it's been a long journey to get here but I'm glad things are finally settling for us. Been dealing with a lot of depression and anxiety issues so I haven't been motivated much so it took a really long time, longer than I'd have liked.
But that's great you're doing better, I was worried about you tbh. Especially since we'd kinda lost touch I wasn't sure what was going on.

Yeah I feel you on that. I haven't been very active here since most of my friends aren't on here anymore, and then of course there's the whole lack of motivation thing. It's been hard.

Oh, that's awesome you're still working on it! And of course I'm still interested lol, I love that story. Probably always will!

As for AD, its been on a lonnnnng hiatus which kinda sucks since I'm like 4 chaps away from finishing the first book but like I said, depression and anxiety happened so it's been hard to do art of any kind unfortunately. I hope I can get back into it though, now that things have been less stressful for me.
I'm gonna have to go back and fix a bunch of stuff though because some chapters turned out to be garbo in my opinion lol.

That's good. That you made it. It's no good that you have stuff weighing you down. Do you have anything that helps with it?

A lot better. I'm actually doing stuff. It's amazing. Again, like, 6 months out of the year, I wouldn't do anything without pulling teeth. But, now I feel like I can do things without it being a hassle.

Yeah, I got you. I don't have the motivation to do a lot. But, I get myself to do stuff by setting daily goals. It helps a lot. Especially during winter. Now that it's finally getting nicer out (I live where the weather is like whiplash).

That's okay. Honestly, I kind of have been drastically re-editing MayBelle's Circus because I couldn't write. Not as well as I can now.
I learned a lot about my writing style and what to fix. The first book is a lot easier to read. There was something about how I used to write that just isn't good. I can't think of the words. Just, I've improved~ XD

Yeah that's very true lol, but that's okay. We all have our times like that. At least we always manage to get back in touch. ^^

It's definitely been a process, but at least things are coming together. Usually I try to distract myself from the things that are bothering me with music or something like that, usually calms me down. I also go to friends for support when I can. Thankfully it hasn't been as bad lately, though I can tell its still there.

Oh wow, that's great! I'm so glad to hear things are looking up for you in that regard!

Motivation is a tricky thing, man. I really need to try to get back into the swing of things myself, that sounds like a pretty good way to do it.

Of course I am. I love all of your writing of course, but that series is especially dear to me. ♡

Oh yes, I can relate so well lmao. I look back on older chapters of AD, heck even newer chapters sometimes and just think "gross". I got way too fanservice-y with some stuff, mostly because I wanted to please variou readers. I think it kinda made me lose track of the initial plot in some ways lol.

That's good. It's important to have things that help.
Goals are pretty good for that, too. One of my goals - and sometimes I don't make it - is to just write 300 words a day. It's been really helpful.

I see. You kill me. XD But, I will just do what I did before then. I have been doing this thing where instead of writing continually in sequence, I skip around to parts I feel more inspired to write. So, I have six chapters. But, scenes are missing. Like, the majority of the six chapters are written with the exception of a few scenes that are only notes. If it doesn't bother you, I could send you them 'as in'or I can finish them up and then send you some chapters. If you're feeling up to feeling them. ^^

Ooooh, that's actually not a bad idea at all! There's been so many times where I've had inspiration for a chapter waaaaay further into the story, and I'm so excited to get to that point and write it out that I end up not giving the other chapters the attention they deserve. I should really give that method a try. Does it work well for you?

It has been working pretty well. I try not to skip too far ahead and just start 'a new chapter'. So, like, I'll be in five, but then I'm struggling with the final scenes and so I jump to six and just begin it. Then I fill in the empty scenes later. I make sure to leave notes though so I know what I wanted to finish writing there. If it's a scene waaay later, I make a new document and start working on that and then work it into the story later.

I'm still trying to figure out my style in digital art, so a lot of the time, I'm not going to post here unless it's a piece I really like. I do have a tumblr. Do you go on tumblr?

I am making progress. Slowly. Sometimes I just don't even know where I want it to go. So, I've been working on writing synopses of the story to get my ideas straightened. I'm about 6 chapters in to the sequel. I have been getting a bit stuck on one part, but I'm pushing through. ^^
I still have rough days though. And it's like "what am I doing", but I work through those thoughts best I can.

Yeah, I get days like that a lot myself. It's been pretty hard to soldier through them anymore, so most progress on anything has come to a halt. I keep telling myself I'll get back to it once I sort out work, or things with the apartment, or what have you. But it never seems to get done. I really need to find a way to buckle down and do this stuff.

Tumblr is super fun! It's totally chaotic though. XD

It's fine. Take your time about them. I've put a slight hold on the sequel until I finally get my butt in gear and finish editing the first book. Again, I'm finally feeling more like myself. So it's been easier to sit down and work on things.

Right now though, I am in love with the idea of a web comic. And I've finally come to terms with "Even if I never get published/the comic never gets popular, then at least I can be happy with these things". I'm writing and drawing for myself. Something I've struggled to do this whole time. But things are finally starting to feel 'good'. Like, it feels good to write and draw. There's no pressure to finish it just to finish it. It's my stuff and I can go at my pace.

To be real though, I've been totally on/off sick the past few weeks and that really opened up my eyes. All that struggling is a total waste. When I relax, I get stuff done and I feel good about it.

And anyway, maybe you're going through the same junk? Like, really sit down with yourself and ask why you're doing what you do. It helped me.

I don't do this but another good tip is "Don't Break the Chain". It's like, you get a calendar and every day you do something art-related, you put an 'x' on the day. Even just a doodle. As long as you did something. And just 'Don't Break the Chain'. It's supposed to help with confidence. Maybe that would help get you back into things?
