I was wondering. Why are you against reselling your designs? 
I think that people would flock back to your work in due time. It just takes a bit for people to realize your back ; o ;

I just never felt comfortable with people reselling my designs.
It took me a while to even getting used to selling my designs to begin with.
Since I put so much effort and thought into them, if I could keep them all I would.
So reselling them,even retrading them feels kinda sad I suppose, but I get that people sometimes don't know what to do with a design so I gave the retrading option a shot.
The reselling however,is not gonna happen ;w;

And well I don't know, I came back a few times and it all felt very diminished like everyone left DA, or it's just me.
I'm always up for making new designs but it's a little sad seeing no real turn up for them it's just a lot of work for little gain.

But wouldn't it be better for them to go to a home that would love and appreciate them? Instead of not being used because they can't resell them? You care a lot about your designs. They are hard work. I understand that. But if you want these very much loved designs to go to homes that would appreciate and use them best. Wouldnt it be best to make it as accessible as possible? Nobody should sell them for a cent more. No profiting off of your designs. But reselling would guarantee that they wouldn't be rotting and ignored. It would be easy for someone who will love your work to get them instead. People who don't like them anymore can easily get their money back. And that rule might be affecting your sales too.

Personally. From what I've observed. Especially with newer designs. People are so willing to spend money on designs. Because if they don't like it. They can get their money back via reselling. When that option is a non-option. They are more hesitant to spend their money. It becomes a lot riskier. Because the amount of money can never be gained back. So many who would have impulsed buy. Have to stop and think about it. Because your designs are a long-term investment with a no resale rule. Yes. They can be traded. But most people who are letting go of their designs are purging. They don't want more designs. I've met people with $7 designs that will not trade them for an over the offer of artwork. (Value at $60+). Because they can resell them. And they would rather have money than any other offer. And yes. They can choose to gift them. But that's throwing money spent out of the window for a stranger. People don't like that either. 

I've come across some people with your designs that have been rotting for years. But because they can't resell them. They just have them in limbo. Don't you think its more heartbreaking to see a design rotting? Then a design getting resold to someone who will love and use them? 


Its not just you. Possible customers are possible. But it will take a long time for you to pick up speed. Because you were gone for so long. If you want to make designs that will guarantee money. I would suggest opening up customs. Im sure people would be interested in that. And like said, that no resale rule is really hurting your business. People didnt care about that years ago. When you were active. But now. All the adoptable buyers I know wont buy from people with that rule.

As much as it hurts me to see my designs rotting away.
I'd rather have people take their time and evaluate their purchase instead of impulse buying.
I've never liked the,buying adopts, not doing anything with them and then reselling them because you couldn't do anything with it.
I got it obviously, but I never quite liked it and like I said before people reselling my designs is just out of my comfort zone, especially when this isn't my primary business.

I can risk less sales or lower income as long as I know the design leaves my hands correctly.
And about customs, I've tried them a few times but they're also out of my comfort zone.
I know I can be a little stingy at times but I think it's important that I create designs in an environment i'm comfortable with. v//v;;

I think you have some valid points though and I did think it through numerous times.
But i'm just keeping to retrading for now.

That's fair enough. I undertsand~! I would never want you to do something that makes you uncomfortable. That's not fair for anyone to ask. I'm sorry if I sounded aggressive. I adore your designs.  I really do. It just makes me sad when they aren't as loved as they should be. And they are out of reach because of the rule. But you do what makes you comfortable. If you are okay with those things. Thats perfectly fine~! Im happiest when artists are happy with what they want to do

I don't blame you. But its a shame. Because you have some real talent. Have you heard of moodboard customs? They might be more up your ally!

Ah yes. They get a collection of pictures and make a custom out of it. What if you gathered themes that were comfortable for you to make? Post them up for sale. And the ones that sell you complete. The others that don't you don't waste your time.  Kind of like Gachas. I see someone who just have people name three things they dont want to see. And they go off that. So you only have to tackle themes you think you could do best. And you wouldnt waste any time on designs that wouldnt sell.
