I once had an artwork of mine taken down due to being some sort of copyright violation. I'd colored it from a Naruto strip, which I'm sure you've seen by now, and it was completely subject to being removed with motives no further than covering one's own ass. How is it, in that case, would there be a group of colorists devoted to the same cause that my artwork had been removed for?
Do you guys ever have problems keeping your work uploaded and available?

Well, you see, most of the members of coloredmanga lineart the manga page so that we can avoid copyright we also tend to put in disclaimers.

If you color ON the manga page and upload it onto deviant art then it can be subject to copyright, which is the reason I dont upload colorings like that anymore. I just upload linearts and colored linearts now.

Yeah. The only reason I got into CG was to advocate the artistic style that comes with mixing the authenticity of the original lineart with my own saturated style. The way I upload it is the way I intend to present my work, meshing the two styles into an elegant collaboration. I gain no monetary value in doing so-I simply wish to share this art style with those who may find an interest with it. Therefore I see no reason for it to be taken down. If it is taken down, I will simply have to persist with the rebellious nature that is often associated with significant artistic endeavor, and post them back up with my side of the argument.
However, I've submitted work like that for awhile now with my argument posted in the description. And ever since they've been left alone.

oi, i read ur tutorial on some other site (the link to this page was there) and I wanted to ask you something; I'm trying to draw manga but I want it to look good because i want to show it and it belongs to a big story i made and used for rpg... now here's my problem: I often see how much details here are in official manga's and how perfect the lines are....I often practise on another scrap of paper before drawing on the real page, but do u know how the real mangaka's do that? and maybe how I could do that too? srry if I bother u with this...if u don't feel like answering here, just delete this comment ^^

Ah, well I'm often enchanted with many enticing stories on how well mangaka carry on in their careers, and one of the many stories involved tells how little work mangaka often have to do. In otherwords--while they may still work very hard, mangaka probably don't work as hard as a lot of people think. They've worked tremendously hard to get to where they are now, and have often had to do a lot of other things before actually becoming a mangaka, but the actual mangaka rarely make things as detailed and perfect as the finished product.
The final product of a manga is a team effort. The mangaka draws--often sloppily--the outline of the entire manga, and other future mangakas working their way up, take the role from there to edit and design certain things. While some mangaka do all their work on their own, not a lot of them do, so don't put yourself down if you're unable to draw as perfectly as they do... because the final manga is the collective efforts of many great drawers, not just one.
If you'd also like to draw that perfectly on your own, my suggestion would be to edit, practice, and draw as much as possible until you think you have what you need. It wouldn't be a bad idea to get friends involved in helping as well, or even go to school for the art. Whichever route you take, remember it doesn't have to be as hard as it looks~

Lols, kinda stopped coming to dA as much due to changes in life schedules and stuff. I'd love to hang around here more, and enter stories of my own as well as critique others, and I'll try to once I get a few things cleared up. Ooh, thanks for your concern~ I know what you mean, I make it an effort a lot of the time to reward those who deserve it with a well thought out and thorough critique, with the small hope in mind that others will do the same for me. I know the one thing I've deserved the most while being on dA was a long, well thought out and extremely story involved critique by one of my proud works. Though usually I'm only given a one to two word post by very few people, even when I've worked so hard on it. I feel that giving the community more than I receive justifies my character a lot by some means.
But, being a writer myself, I know that most people tend to get excited over their writing, and eager to hear something deep and involved when it comes to what they've written. They really want to know what parts the reader enjoyed, what parts may they have liked, dislike, got excited about or felt emotion about. I know I wonder all the time how my writing effects others. I just feel like, reading something so deep should give you twice as many things to say about it, it'd be hard for me to read something and leave a two word post about how it was. Maybe I just talk too much, or maybe I'm too compassionate, but I love making people feel good, even if they don't do the same for me in return. That's a lot of the reason why I critique. So I can understand how you feel when people don't say much when responding, or don't respond at all. It can get frustrating over long periods of time.

Yes I agree...I have grown pretty distant here on DA myself which I do not like but I simply lack the will to put effort into it any longer and don't feel like it si worth the effort if people won't appreciate it...It wares then on my emotions, which have been so screwed up lately I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do anymore..and I am beginning to scare myself cause I don't like what I'm turning into..Buty it feels like i'm losing control over it all and I don't know the reason but I care less and less everyday..ehich is not like me...
I mean when I read work and fav it I rarely comment on it..I mean I know I should but well I just lack to the motivation to do it any longer when I rarely get anything in return...If my emotions werre so tangeled in my life situations I might actually cxare enough to leave a good and nice compliment and critique but well I feel like it is no longer worth it cause well my emotions are fried and I just lost my ability to care as much anymore..
