# About me

Hello,

I’m YBereneth, I‘m 23 years old and from Germany.

I started drawing and painting when I was about 10.

I created this page in my teens and there are some old things online in my gallery (and journals) I am not too fond of any more but I decided to not take anything down hence I believe it might be interesting seeing my „roots“. Please don‘t judge me too harshly for things I might have written or drawn back then, I constantly try to improve, I promise!
Jokes aside, positive, constructive criticism is most welcome, it is always good to know how to do something better and to learn from one's own mistakes. I value the opinions of others very highly.

My main interests art-wise are illustrations and portraits, mainly of characters/scenes out of a variety of novels, films and fandoms although I try to broaden my spectrum.

Other interests of mine are history, archaeology and art history. I had courses of the latter in University and I believe studying the Old Masters is quite helpful for improving one's own art.

I also should mention that I still am on my journey of finding my own art style and dabble in a lot of different styles, themes and media. If you have any suggestions of what I should try out – please, go ahead!

Bleib dran, wenn da mehr als 'nur' nen Hobby draus werden soll, dann musst du viel Zeit in Studien investieren. Deine 'ersten Gehversuche' sehen aber schonmal vielversprechend aus! Besonders während des Malprozesses deines Selbstportraits scheinst du schon einiges gelernt zu haben.
