That's great getting into sculpting! The tutorials are really basic and should be easy to use. Hope I can have more time to do something better. Please advise if you have any suggestion. Thanks!! ^^

They are indeed helpfull, cause it's just so good to see some techniques and stuff. My Super Sculpey arrived on thursday so right now IΒ am more playing around with it to get used to it. And a Replique of the Lord of the Rings Evenstar is in the oven at the very moment So gotta see how this works out.

Β Wow!! The Lord of the Rings Evenstar! I've got to see how it's done by you. Do you just make it, bake and color it?Β
Please let me know if you need any help with sculpting.Β

Hi
I have modeled the two leaves and also the silverwire above it bent in shape. I have to say i am pretty satisfied with the result so far, maybe I could post a pic. Right now i am stil looking for the right paint, as i want it as close to the original as i can get and it is really bright silver, almost withe in the light. And I also need some gemstones that fit the piece.
Some days ago i also started modeling a little timon sculpture from Lion King to start off with something not too detailed My progress is not the fastest maybe, but it's fun!

I saw the pictures of your work, I can tell from the pictures that you have nice fine arts skill. Also theΒ Β bendedΒ wire is so perfect! Can't wait to see how it's done! I would think of any coloring besides paints, or maybe plastic model paints, nail polish perhaps, well you looks smart to figure it out ^^!
Yes, sculpting should be fun and make the best you can other then make it fast. TheΒ little timon! Please post it on when you finished!! ^^

Thank you so much for the nice feedback I'm very pleased to hear that!
What I bought so far is marabu colorspray. But maybe i'll look for plastic
model paint then, so thanks for the tips, too.
I am just a little worried, that anything other than a spray might not be
fine enough to get a nice and even layer of color in the leaf veins as they are
really thin, but I'll keep trying.
When Timon is finished he will have a little fotosession for DA for sure
Shouldn't take too long anymore, i am almost done with his face, which was
the most tricky thing.

For a small piece of clay, I would not buy spray paint because it can not be mixed with the color I like. Plastic model paints like Tamiya or others, you can easily find all kind of metallic colors. Use paint tuner so they won't be too thick. You may apply thin layers like two or three times. You can even create dry brush effect so it looks more dimensional.
