Hey, I don't know if you even go on this account anymore or if you'll even see this, but I want to say something that I've been thinking about for years now. I know this comment is about a mile long but bear with me. It'll be worth it, I swear.
If you can recall, about 8 years ago, there was a little 11-year-old shit who thought it was okay to recolor other people's Invader Zim fanart and post it as their own. You and a few others had stewed up a little circle of drama surrounding this kid's "art", causing said kid to delete her account. Then, like a dumbass, that kid came back to dA and decided to provoke the drama again, causing yet another huge uproar that slowly led the kid to abandon their account and leave dA for good.
Now, why am I bringing this up? Why would I bother to take time out of my busy college schedule to type out this big ass comment on an account that hasn't been active since 2011? I'll tell you why - it's because that dumbass 11-year-old art thief was me. Yes, you read correctly, it was I who committed that art theft all those years ago. I was the turkey all along!
I have fuzzy memories of being that idiot who used the fill bucket tool on MS paint on other people's ZADR artwork. I didn't think much of it back then. I had no idea that I was stealing other people's art, I was just too lazy to attempt drawing on the bulky ass laptop my mom had given me, so I thought "Hey, I'll just use these images I found on Google instead! What could possibly go wrong?!"
When my dumb autistic ass decided it was a good idea to post my stolen artwork online, I got a very rude awakening. A lot of people including the artist(s) I stole from began to flood my page with several comments ranging from kind warnings to "you're such a stupid bitch lmao XD".
I remember your account in particular, sticking out to me like a sore thumb. I would see that little fox awesome face icon on almost all of my posts followed by vulgar comments calling me things like "dumbass" and "fuck face". If I remember correctly, you even decided to create several accounts just to harass me over these stupid recolors. Every time I blocked you, there you were, ready to call me whatever nasty things you could come up with.
But, you know what? I'm not angry (okay, maybe a little, but that doesn't matter lmao). Today, I'm 18 years old going on 19, I'm in college working on becoming an animator/illustrator and achieving my lifelong goal to bring my own stories to life. I'm far from perfect, but I've grown up way past stealing people's art anymore. There are times when I wish I could slap that little shit I was 8 years ago. In a strange way, I want to thank you for harassing that 11-year-old girl who scribbled on your friends' artwork. I'm not saying what you did was right, but you and those other people taught me an important lesson on art theft and how the Internet works. I'm kinda glad you guys called me out on my blatant art theft and taught me how not to act online. If I didn't receive such a slap in the face, I don't think I would have known that I was doing something wrong until much later. I'm now mature enough to understand not to start petty drama online, and I'd give a good chunk of credit to you and your circle of Invader Zim fans for beating that message into my thick ass skull.
So, thank you, ZADRfan1. Thank you for teaching me a very valuable lesson about what not to do online. I hope you're doing well, and you can look back on this stupid drama and appreciate it as I do. I've been waiting way too long to get this off my chest.

Hmmm...Let's see. That was likely a good 7 years ago then? Can't say I remember much from back then, seeing as how that was a very turbulent time for me in the fandom. Drama was at an all time high and I'll admit, I wasn't exactly hanging with the best crowd in the fandom at that time. If I have to guess, I was probably defending a friend's art at the time (or an ex-friend's) *Shrug* No hard feelings though, I guess? Sorry to say I can't recall who you were back then. I'm guessing Deuces was your past username? Vaguely rings a bell but not enough to say I'd be holding any grudges about the past art theft. Sorry if I may have come across as harsh back then. Like I said though, I wasn't associated with the best people at the time and I became a very dark and aggressively defensive person. Still strongly opinionated about art theft even today, but no longer acting as anybody's personal attack dog against it. And I've since dropped some of the friendships that seemed to fuel that aggression at the time. Truth be told, I was a pretty laid back person when I first started out on this website, and I'd like to think I've mellowed out over the past few years since that time I was running my ZADRfan1 account. The years I was running my ZADRfan1 account were the years I was most heavily influenced by some ex friends whom were dealing with issues of their own. I stay far away from that sort of drama nowadays though.
If you want to continue thinking of me as an asshole, I won't stop you. I've already accepted the fact that all that drama back then (not just with you but with some other users as well) most likely marred my reputation with a good chunk of the fandom. Now I just post for fun and to keep in touch with those who can see past my past actions. There's always two sides to every story and those who know me well were only all too aware of the manipulative relationship I had fallen into. It's unfortunate that I couldn't see it for myself at the time, but it happens.
For the record though, I never created multiple accounts for the sake of harassing users on here. If anything, they were probably side accounts I had made prior to the incident. I've got a good handful floating around this website. I wouldn't bother with creating an entire account JUST to bypass a block though. I may use them to my advantage in situations where a user it taking a jab at me before blocking like a coward, but any side accounts I had on this website were always created with the intention of showcasing my art primarily. I'm not THAT much of an obsessive prick. Like I said though, think what you want of me. I won't deny my past on here unless somebody is outrageously stretching the truth about a matter that happened back then.

P.S.-You're welcome. I'm glad you were at least able to realize the error of your ways when it came to the art theft, especially if you're pursuing a career in art. You can't grow from copying others or coloring over a work and claiming it as your own. Laziness, even as an 11 year old, isn't an excuse in my book because art requires a certain degree of dedication to it and it's not worthwhile if you get praise for something that originally belonged to another user. Referencing is one thing, but unless a person is using an actual base as a starting point for learning (obviously one that has been labeled as a free to use resource), it's never cool to take advantage of another artist's hard work. Just saying. In any case though, good luck with your future art endeavors.

I agree with what you said about art theft. There's no excuse for it, and I don't know why my younger self or anyone who still does it today would think it's acceptable. As for the other stuff, I completely understand. We all have those times in our lives where we surround ourselves with unneeded drama and become bitter people (*cough* me in middle school *cough*). It was interesting to see your side of the story, and I'm glad we both now have closure about this whole thing.

Well, to be perfectly honest, probably never? I mean, the story itself is pretty old at this point. The partner I was writing it with long ago I have little to no interaction with any longer. So unless I choose to someday go back and revise it (because I do have the original story still posted somewhere in old notes), a chapter 20 isn't likely be coming out for a VERY long time (if ever). Plus, since we never technically finished the story, I'd have to find a way of rounding it out somewhere within our old posts if I ever chose to rewrite and continue the story, something that I can't at this moment foresee myself doing. This is mainly due to the fact that I'm already in the process of writing a few other ZADR stories I'd like to finish working on before returning to older works. That being said, sorry if the story had left you at a cliffhanger of sorts.
