I see you take requests, can't really afford a commission. I have a ton of ideas but sadly not a lot of time to write them so mind if I pitch them to you? What are the chances I'd see them created?

Well, Picking up a request depend on a number of factors.
First is Interest; Do I like the idea? Do I LOVE the idea? Depending on how I feel on the idea I may or may not pick it up.
Second is Adapting; When I take requests, I may change certain aspects of the idea. This may be for many reasons; I may not like a certain part, or I may just want certain situations to turn out differently. I avoid major changes, and I will clear voice when I plan to change something. I'm open to discussion, if you're against the changes I may suggest, but if we can't reach an agreement, then I'll probably drop the request.
Third is Time; As you just pointed out, I take commissions and write my own stories and those take clear priority over requests, since I am being paid and I enjoy writing my own work. As such, requests may take a very, very, VERY long time to complete. HOWEVER, I will finish the request, without fail, if I clearly state that I will write it, i.e. If I say yes to a request, it will be created. 
Finally, is Changing the Request; Since my request take a long time, many requesters have asked for various changes to be added to the request idea. Once again, I'm open to minor changes, but I will not accommodate large-scale changes to the idea, like changing huge parts of the plot or main characters and so on.
