# About me
The dream of taking pictures have intrigued me for quite some time now. I started liking the idea of "documenting" life since i was in mid school. Now i'm in my 4th year of university studie ehehe :DGot the chance to actually start picking up a camera and snap away about 3 months ago, so you can say in terms of passion i've been in this for years, but when it comes to practice i'm a total noob..
i believe in minimum editing photography and i can't stop emphasizing that. because as much as it is a trend to "digitally cook" your photos, I've never been a fan of darkroom effects. I am what I am, and that is hor my photography is.
Every shot is made with passion, there's no such thing as a snapshot in my dictionary, every frame has its function, its meaning, my medium to convet my message.
Hope you enjoy the page, not perfect i know, but i am trying.. Cheerio! :D

it's adityarakh i think, but i don't play in FN anymore, i find their appreciation towards art is abit different to my intepretation of art, so...

and you found it in deviantART ?
knowing you bring your 500D in some opportunity makes me curious bout your photoWorks.. such a talented person..
how long has you equipped by that gear? 500D is a brand new DSLR isn't it?

in deviantArt since it's a pool of people and their art, the members are so much more open to the intepretations of what art is, so I suppose i find things here much much more comfortable
yes 500D is Canon's first release this year, about a month ago they released the 7D too, so ya

Yeah.. most of cam shop ready for new 500D. But It was to expensive for me. (better w/o video feature less price )
I had just bought new DSLR.. It was very hard to find discontinued 450D in Yogyakarta..
wanna add more lenses but the it was too wide variety of lenses..
what about you..? I think it was not enough just had 18-55 one. Doesn't it?

18-55 isnt my only lenses
i also have the fix prime 50mm f/1.8,, after this i'm aiming for the tele 70-200mm f/2.8L,, baru abis itu gonna get some strobes

I do think so..50mm is the "must have" lense..
the result is much more by its affordable price
I also put it together, fix and tele zoom/ makro is a couple of gears. But I just able to bought the 55-250is one.. yes it was hard to get good result in lowlight condition ( although it has IS ).. I've never try canon code "L" one.. but I believe it was "highly recommended" categories in some review sites.. notes:not recommended for "mahasiswa perantauan" hehehe... the red line which around it body looks cool.. ya macro would be a good lens to have khususnya kayak aku yang hobi still life photography,, but i figured nabung dulu dah for the L lenses, coz i'm gonna have a lot of use with it, and since my niche is night photography, i need one with big apperture numbers, jadi walaupun sampe meradang-radang, i think i gotta get the 70-200mm 2.8L, and btw aku juga perantauan
oh and we should hunt bareng kapan2

meradang radang for $1,799.99??
how many month should I fasting everyday?hehehe
what a great deal..white lens is soo scary.. ( baca : sangar )
yap.. Im so sure that the lamp behind will looks like circlcircle gitu deeeh... the 2,8 will helped so much
where did u used to hunt? any photography communitty?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
adityarakhman In reply to Chend [2009-10-26 09:30:56 +0000 UTC]
actually the 2.8L non-IS is about USD 1.100, the IS version is USD 1.700 one, i think with an aperture value as big as 2.8, we dont really need IS, especially as I plan to start playing with off camera strobes
hunt? anywhere really,, been to tamansari, ruang cafe, pantai sadranan, gumuk pasir,, but lately i've been having so much fun with in-studio experimentation (see my journal and previous pics), which I made for less than 1 juta hahahaha,, if you see agnes's photos lately, thats in the studio

Making full body portrait will be hard using fix 50mm lenses.. my tele is just 5,6 at 200..
I always use 200mm focal length to gain as much DOF as possible..
but I think by enough lighting in the night.. the "bokeh" also appears well..
Why don't using external flash ( addded with wireless trigger )
and shooting in distance?
I have just read.. confuse enough.. Is there any documentation of the studio setting?
