what up homie! nah i havent tried slow sync yet. just read up a bit on it. in which situations where u refering to using it in? it would be hard as hell to use it in my live sets because i'd get so much blurr. my homies move around A LOT lol. shooting at 1/60 1/80 at iso 1600 f2.0 is what im at to get most of the good shots. other than live, im trying to see wha situations would be good to use it in?

Ah. Shooting natural eh. I just learned slow sync a week ago or so. Flashing your subject to expose them properly then making the background fill in for itself. The settings I used for a portrait was 1/30th at f/16 at 100iso. Flashes the subject and lets teh background come in. May be some blur in the background but depends on what your subject is of course.

Stopping the action on other hands, depending on relative distance, would have to be experimented with. I know a classmate of mine shot a close up of band members using slow sync and caught the singers still with huge color differences and diffractions and whatnot due to the slow shutter speed.

Its interesting. I"ll shoot you some links with some good images and try to analyze them. I can see slow sync being used for more closer stuff than farther. Now of course action unless you have lights setup and shooting far away, might not be as useful but you have lights. Once you know, experiment.

yah thanks a lot man things are going kinda good. I was wishing i had more models to shoot because i wanted to get into fashion this year but no one was realy down. BUT since i've done this shoot with the homegirl nikki a lot of ppl have been hitting me up to shoot as if i suddenly have skill lol. its like dude i've been had some little bit of skill i jus never have hot chicks to shoot. so yah i got a lot of stuff coming up plus im only about 2 hundred away from some alien bee strobes and their portable generator(vegabond) once i have those i'll be able to finally shoot comfortable during the day time and i can shoot so much more stuff that i've been dying to shoot. what you been up to man? how are things goin?

things are alright. i wish i could shoot more. dunno what it is, out of time or out of models or the thinking that better gear will help.

this time last year i was shooting like a madman. the studio class i'm in isn't as inspiring as last years. i'd love to get some lights for myself but without a job it is hard, i'm sure you know.

model shoot coming up spring break time as well as another model sometime, haven't set a time yet. let me know if you are ever in the area, i'd like to go shoot sometime. always good to get a new fresh pair of eyes to go shoot with.

oh for you, check model mayhem or onemodelplace for models to shoot. you're in a more conencted area than i am as well. keep updating and working, i'm expecting more and more now

yah man ur in l.a right? im always in that area. either picking up stuff of craigslist, gettin new car parts, car meets, camera stuff, etc. sucks that ur class isnt as inspiring. i think the fact that i get no real "credit" for the work i do is wha keeps me going. its like everyone i know jus treats my work as "meh, w/e. its ok" lol. which is true for most of my old shots but recently my shits been gettin dope. a lot of ppl like it, but on the other hand other ppl jus dont give me the credit i deserve. not that i got into photography to get all popular but damn a lot of my friends cud at least admit that its dope instead of hating hahah. im gettin up there tho, so its all good.

oh and as for modelmayhem they've denied my email haha. i guess my old work wasnt considered "pro" so just the other day i submitted my new shit, so we'll see wud up

i've been to cali a few times, wouldn't mind going back. yeah i'm out here in cold ass colorado. a shoot in the future might be down the road quite a ways. keep getting better and better.

Well, that leaves you one option. Keep shooting til you get some stellar stuff. It wont take you long. I've watched you for a while come a long way and you're definitely getting dope.

if you think you are doing better all the time then it must be true. been told to not to listen too closely to what my friends say about photography. they support me but when they start sayin shit about it i tell em whats what. its what i do, what i am doing and what i will be doing for a very long time.

keep shooting hotties and they will appreciate it. just wait til you do some form shots, if you want to of course and then that'll put em in your place.

i am in colorado at the moment. might be a while before a shoot is planned but if i am ever in the area i'll let you know.

yah thats all i hear from them is how good they work and how great the customer service is. i think for the most part i'll still use my strobes for certain night shoots because there easy to carry around. but daytime or sunset, imma use AB's. look foward to seein more of your work
