As much as i would LOVE for Tira to become the next weilder of Soul Edge, i don't think it's gonna happen, she gets the ending with the kids TWICE. Which means it's the most likely to happen.

10 VERY GOOD REASONS WHY WE SHOULDN'T PAIR IVY WITH SIEGFRIED. *sorry Biff*
1. He is 5.6 in height...she is 5.10... Need I really say more?
2. Siegfried would have to put up with the constant taunts and teasings of "Oh so you like a woman to look up too huh!?" by his fellow german pals.
3. She's nearly 10 years his senior!!!! Siegfried doens't want an old bat! He wants a young thing---like the kind he beds in the bars! *wink wink* Siegfried: Ich Geliebt-Deutsch-Bar-DienstmΓ€dchen!*
4. "Never again will I bend to anyone's will!" Hello! Siegfried wants to be in control! Like hell Ivy's gonna let him have it! Anyone can see she's dominatrix!
5. Ivy was raised as an english noblewoman. Siegfried was raised a typical german--- his constant meticulous attitude and careful attetion to detail will drive Ivy up the wall. Plus Siegfried is gutsy, really gutsy! Ivy will not put up with his drinking beer from the bottle!
6. Do you think Siegfried is honestly going to torture his children by having a child with a woman whose got just as much of soul edge inside her as it does him? Hello! Siegfried is not going to produce offspring when he knows they're going to be tortured relentlessly by that thing(soul edge.) (Although there's already a few spawns running around---Miss Alita Schtauffen included)
7. Germany! England! No Germany! England is better!!! England is cold and depressing!!! Germany doens't have proper monarchy!!! Catch my drift?
8. How the hell is Siegfried going to bed this woman!!!?? Imagine Siegfried *sorry for all the minors out there* on top of Ivy? "Great, I can't see her face...all I'm stuck with is her chest constantly slapping me in the face!" Or in some other position? Like 69? "That feels great Ivy but...I can't get to your...I mean your...your navel is in my face!"
9. Ivy is a sorceress. Germany had more executions and persecutions of witchs then any other country during the burning times. (Scotland came second.) Enough said.
10. Last but not least...from Ivy's perspective. Do you honestly think she's going to f*ck around with a boy who is 23 years of age? Not to mention he was Nightmare---he probably already did unthinkable things to her, she hates his guts and the list goes on.

Your reasons are mostly unfounded.
The height difference is not as huge as you think; 5' 10" is only 4 inches taller than 5' 6", and I discovered today that an average-sized PENCIL is longer than 4 inches. You're making it seem as if Sieg was 5' 1" and Ivy was 6' 2"-- Now THAT would be a ridiculous height difference. So scratch that off the list. And besides, why does the male ALWAYS have to be taller than the female?
Secondly, what German pals? Sieg hasn't really had "friends" ever since he abandoned his Schwarzwind gang when he killed his father by accident. Being teased should be the least of his worries, especially when he no longer has any "pals" to make fun of him anyway.
Also, 9 to 10 years isn't as huge as an age gap as it could be. Yes, I'll admit that sometimes the age difference between Siegfried and Ivy bothers me a bit, but when I hear about 40-50 year olds who are with 20 year olds, I am reassured that their age difference isn't that huge. Thus, this isn't a major reason for either incompatibility or improbability, just awkwardness.
The whole "dominatrix" thing going on with Ivy might just be a front to scare people. I personally don't think she's REALLY that "dominant and controlling" when it comes to a romantic relationship. And the whole "Never again will I bend to anyone's will" theory-- he only means he won't succum to EVIL. Sieg's not referring to being dominated by a woman.
And what does cultural differences have to do with it? Now THAT is probably one the dumber reasons I've ever heard that are against IvyxSieg. Seriously. Though it COULD become a problem between two people back in that time period, cultural diffrences are one of the characters' least worries in the world of Soul Calibur. For example, everyone hates Zasalamel NOT because he's of African decent, it's because he puts curses on people and THROWS COGWHEELS AT THEM. Might as well scratch this one right of the list, too.
Sorceress? SIEGFRIED WAS A MASS-MURDERER (even though he was under the influence of Soul Edge at that time). Both Ivy and Sieg should technically be executed by any country's government.
Ivy, according to her SCIII story, is actually seeking Siegfried for info on SE and SC. So yeah, she may not be planning to screw around with him initially, but she is interested in at least asking him what he knows. Play Ivy's Tales of Souls mode in SCIII and read ALL the story texts if you don't believe me.
This ties into what I just said-- it also states in Ivy's ToS story that she never really knew who Nightmare really was. I assume while they were in their group Schwarzstrom, Nightmare and Ivy were relatively distant and barely spoke to each other. The worst thing Nightmare ever did to Ivy was that he deceived her into following Soul Edge's will and assisting him, Astaroth, and Lizardman in mass-murder; so that's why Ivy hates NIGHTMARE. She never knew that Siegfried was Nightmare, and Siegfried is no longer Nightmare now, thus she might TRUST Sieg, especially now because BOTH of them want to destroy Nighty(whom is now the spirit of Soul Edge).
I just covered all your reasons with my counterpoints, so you can't convince me that the pairing won't work. Your reasons don't prove any incompatibility or improbability in this pairing. Height and age differences are too minor to be problems, cultural diffrences should be put aside, and the whole Nightmare-issue is unfounded due to what is stated in Ivy's SCIII story. Would you like me to tell you why I find IvyxSieg more compatible/probable than any ohter pairing in which these two could be involved? Or would you like me to cease this psychobabble and just not defend my beliefs?
What was the point of posting this on here anyway? Are you TRYING to offend me? You sure DID offend me with this comment. You've thanked me for my honesty before, so I'm going to be honest with you once again-- I die a little inside everytime someone pathetically tries to prove my one true pairing won't work. I can't take it when people try to prove that IvyxSieg won't work because I know that technically it CAN work within the canon SC story. There has been nothing in SC to truly prevent this pairing from working. Therefore, I will always support and fantasize about a romantic development between these two characters until Namco proves otherwise. But because I take everything very personally, I cannot stand it when people try to prove my beliefs are wrong with unfounded reasons.
I apologize for the rant. However, statements like this get on my nerves. BIG TIME. Call me insane. Call me obsessed. But I am completely baffled as to what your intentions are in posting this rubbish.

*smiles* Aww...I'm sorry. I actually posted it to give people a few laughs. I didn't mean to offend, oh biff I feel so bad...*gives a hug* Yeah okay they can work. I suppose. In some way or another...*hee* Its okay to take things personally like this (Hey look at me, I take in personally when people DO pair Ivy with Siegfried) but it's okay to have fantasies and stuff like that. I mean a few years back I would have killed anyone who dared to pair Myotismon with anyone but Angemon (If you watched digimon you'll know what I'm talking about.)

Biff, we're really getting off on the wrong foot here and its partially my fault, so let us drop this subject until we can get back good terms again. And anyway I'm not totally against the whole pairing thing, in my eyes they can be real intimate friends...in fact the fic I'm busy with involves them, and Sieggy's kid. Aww Biff...I really did it for laughs, the only reason I wrote sorry Biff* was because I didn't want you to take it oh so seriously...but you eviently did...
