Heh, yeah... even in my own cast... I have hares, ferrets, rats, at least one weasel and a lot of otters... but no pine martens... ;;

They also wear clothes... even if trousers are still optional...

Danbuster: (hare) I wear Union Jack boxers under my kilt... though that's more Rule of Funny than plain modesty - even so, I'm in the habit of wearing trousers since I'm the nearest my Artist has to a fursona... despite being an independent character in my own right these days. Trousers are optional among my friends though, and even I went commando during an RP-based adventure-story in Redwall, when I was lent a thigh-length earthy-green tunic for a stealth mission.

Frederick: (ferret) Well, my fur grows quite thick, so trousers are just plain uncomfortable, matey. I can't wear 'em. Th' fur rides oop against th' material. Though, I wear th' green shirt to 'elp insulate me body when swimming, since me fur don't 'ave that natural waterproofing like me otter-siblings do...

Spencer: (rat) Having b'n poor most o' me life, I've only worn the cap and necktie, so I'm comf'table enough wearing nuffink but me fur. Only wear a suit fer special occasions. Aside from me, though, I fink the only uvver accessory-wearing types are the eagles. But then they need to keep their wings un'indered, don' they!

Heh, yup... pretty sure he'd get along with the Dan Clan like a house on fire. They're all friendly guys.

In extended canon, Frederick and Spencer also have nice girlfriends, while Dan is single but hopeful.
