Hi I'm Gillian. I'm a nurse in outport Newfoundland. I'm from Nor'western Ontario and that's where I learned my main artistic style: woodland art. I also dabble in quilting, calligraphy and traditional native women's handicrafts.

Woodland art belongs to the anishnaabeg people. It was fathered by Norval Morriseau as a modern take on traditional paintings. The style is built on outlines and "x-ray" views of life.
