I love your works on guitar.. I'd like to do that on my own guitar, could you give me some tutorial?

It's just acrylic paints and then you use a clear sealer to finish it. I usually do a lot of coats of the sealer. Very easy.

You need to water mark you work and turn off the download button. There are a lot of people out there that do tubes that love to grab what you have. It's always good to protect yourself

Open a pic in your gallery. On the bottom right you should see a button that says EDIT.
Click it and scroll down the page to the section that say FULLVIEW SIZE. You'll see
2 square by it that say add watermark and allow download. deselect the download button
and select the watermark button. Now Deviant's default water mark cover the center section
of the pic. I watermark my piece with my own marks but If you aren't able to do that then
use the Deviant default. The reason that I brought this up to you is that You style and
subjects are real popular with the psp tube crowd. They create the little animated avatars
that you see on facebook etc. So It's always good to protect yourself. If you want to sell
them look up a site called Up Your Art. [link]
They may be able to market and license your work.
A woman named Suzy runs the site and she's really strait up to deal with so look them up.
If you have any other questions please don't be afraid to ask.

I really dig your guitars! I have one I want to refinish myself but having to sand off the varnish first is a really scary prospect. Seeing successful finishes like these are really encouraging.

Can I ask if you start with a raw guitar or if you sand the finish off yours and redo it? I'm trying to decide which way I want to go on that issue...
π: 0 β©: 1
angelsg33 In reply to Sifle [2008-11-10 01:42:52 +0000 UTC]
Sand it first and then apply a generic colored primer

Hey Stephanie, I really enjoy your work! I did have a question though, who is your inspiration for your paintwork? I do see a great resemblance to Amy Brown's paintings. Keep up the great work!

Great Gallery, I particularly like the instruments you've been painting.
Does the paint affect their sound in any way?

angelsg33 In reply to NOcaster [2008-11-08 02:25:14 +0000 UTC]
Thanks!! Yes, it makes the sound a little deeper.
