Hey, guys! If any fellow Animorphs fans see this I have a question: I'm working on a fic that's post series (which means big time spoilers if anyone never finished reading). I've got two chapters done, and am trying to decide if I should post them here. They are already on fanfictio.net so I don't want to post them on dA too if no one would read them.
The story is called Andalite Wars, and the basic plot is that years after the events of Animorphs, the people's of earth decide the Andalites are a threat and that they should try to fight them before the alien race turns on them.
If anyone happens upon this, let me know what you think of the idea. If you never finished the original series and don't want spoiled, you WON'T want to read Andalite Wars.

You should sign up for an account at AO3 (Archive of Our Own), too, if you're on ffn? AO3 is a great place to post fanfic works and it's much less fussy in its rules than ffn, plus the search system is superior.

I'm still trying to get an official comic book done and breathe new life into the series cause it needs some new life. Loved the series as a kid, love it still now, just want to share the love.Β

The scripts for the first arc are 100% complete, books 1-5 and some of the side stuff was included in them for a more complete picture. Most of the inconsistencies from the original books, being that they were ghost written by various authors, have been fixed. Hopefully what has been done by me is what K.A. Applegate would have done given the chance. the scripts for the rest are in varying stages of completeness, most need to be revised, edited, ect but are in a sense complete.

not yet. I've been hunting down the gone and the other series she did which the name escapes me right now. it was more grown up and much shorter about kids who get pulled into some kind of alternate universe

I love the Animorphs, Unfortunately I still haven't read all the books. I just had a crazy dream about them. I saw the Yeerks home planet, entire Yeerk fleets, an Andalite fleet of at least 5 Dome ships, and a full out open invasion on Earth. In my dream, they Yeerks decided that they wanted to take Earth using ALL the resources they had available to them.

I know what you mean. I haven't read all of them either. But I still love it. That must have been a wicked cool dream. I'd hate to see the earth get invaded, but I still think Yeerks are awesome!

lol Recently I was able to finish the series, but it was hard because I had to find all the books. I won't spoil the ending for you, but I still love the series. I know some tv shows, movies, and other media show dreams as blurry or indistinct, but my dreams are always so vivid and life-like. They could have the strangest things happen in them, but they always looks real. I've had a few Animorph dreams besides the one I described, and they all look as real as they would be if I was actually there. I don't remember seeing any Yeerks up close though. The bulk of the battle was above the town I was in.
I also remember another dream where I was with the kids in an indoors swimming pool. I think I was there to test a dolphin morph (If you think logically, a dolphin shouldn't be in a swimming pool, but it was a dream so...). Then there is another dream where I was with Marco and Tobias in some kind of restaurant, which is ironic because one of the books had a scene similar to that.

hmm... sure it's dark for being a kid series, and the characters struggle mentally, but it also shows some interesting concepts. You're dad may just see the series differently than we do.

Speaking of which I just had a dream about the Animorphs. I got to see some Hork Bajiir close up (and since it's a dream, they looked more real than any artwork I've seen of them).

Yeah they looked really cool (and tall). I've noticed that in my dreams, I see and experience things that feel and look so real even though I normally wouldn't see or feel them in real life.
