Ah, I'm fine...just enjoying summer break while it lasts! I agree that ST fanart is addicting...but I haven't really had time to do much since the whole SEE site design business. Now that most of that is over with, I can hopefully do some fun work!
Eh...Dreamweaver: I learned how it works, but I don't think I ever plan on using it (or designing webpages in general) unless I absolutely have to! I'm kind of into the whole "self-teach" thing (I think people learn better that way)...so I pretty much just messed around with it until it did what I wanted. Not a very structured approach, but effective.
So yes, overall, I am doing well.
But I still can't wait until its time to go to the beach!

just doodle whatever you feel like, for fun, even if it goes nowhere ^^
3) When it comes to improvement, is it more important to draw a lot, or to be focused and attentive while drawing-- Quality vs. quantity?
I would say quantity, because it let you do the same move over and over again, and at last, it will stay in your mind, and become kind of instinctive...well...I think

Depending. The most often I draw what's in my head, in order to be able to use my imagination if I don't have a reference. i don't want to be limited by that. but sometimes I just feels like my skills alone are meeeeelting and i need to do some observation drawing to get my mind back.
5) Is life drawing important, and optionally, why?
I think it's quite important, because basically, it's the best way to learn to look with your eyes and not with your mind (aka having a deformed picture in your head), and it's quite useful to learn how colors interact with eachother
6) Do you feel like you learn better from classes, tutorials andor other peoples' input, or from experimenting on your own? Is peer interaction and a community environment like DA important to learning how to draw?
I don't take classes, so I think exeprimenting on my own is already something quite effective. as for communities like DA, I think it..gives your courage and motivation, when you watch the other ^^
7) how many hours a day/week do you usually spend drawing?
I must spend about..1h a day, i would say? but picking time here and there.

It seems like people think life drawing is important, and like to experiment on their own. I'm glad to hear that because I agree-- I think you learn way more outside of classes, and from watching how your art heroes draw on sites like DA.
