Love your animal portraits, iam quite new to drawing and have been asked to do a cocker spanial portrait for a friend,any tips!other than dont do it..lol

If you're working from a photograph, make sure it's at the animal's eye line (so it doesn't distort the features). Use the original, high-resolution digital image (not a resized version) as this will preserve as much detail as possible. Apart from that, just take your time and draw what's there in front of you, not what you think it ought to look like - that makes the portrait look much more like that particular animal, rather than a generic Spaniel. Your work looks good, so I'm sure it will turn out well. Good luck!
