Getting Started on DeviantArtWhen you first become a member of DA, it can all seem a bit daunting. So many people, so many options! So here’s a few tips to help you get started.
- Groups (find them at More->Groups) Use the search area to find groups that will suit your art, and/or the art you'd like to see. Once you're a member of a group, you can submit your work to their gallery, and you'll also get updates from the work other people submit to the gallery. Once you have a few groups you like, you can also try to find similar groups through their affiliates. Here's a few active general groups to get you started: ALL-ART-4-EVER , ArtistsParadiseClub , BoomForAll , Yes2All
- Watch If you really like an artist, you can watch them so you get an update every time they upload something new. You can do this by going to their profile page and clicking the 'watch' button in the top right corner, or clicking the 'watch' button under the right corner of the deviation you're viewing.
