When you say a picturebook of Jake and Taylor... how many pages are we talking here?
Are we talking like a 60 page sketch book or???

It was okay, The day after my birthday I spent with my mom which was nice.Β
Yes, a picture book! Of Jake and Taylor. xD like a legit picturebook. I'm taking a picturebook class in school. So Naturally, that is the only thing I could make a picture book of.
It will end up being a 40-page book cover to cover, which means it will have 32 pages of actual story/ illustration pages 10"x10" inches. At the moment I have fully illustrated 2 pages. xD
Th story I'm going with is kind of like a best man/brother of the bride speech kind of thing(Though I'm still not 100% if Jake and Taylor would actually get married in my actual story but it works for this project). Obviously, Fritz is the narrator. I'm calling the book "I Ship You With My Sister" because you know he does. xD
The story is like a walk down memory lane, a collection of different memories / and "Photos" as if Fritz had been gathering up different photos to give Jake a Taylor.
It's been interesting writing a picture book and trying not to really lead into anything that happens in my actual story, like if of the darker things in the story were put into the picture book the other people in my class would think I'm crazy or something.
If I'm thinking of the same sketch you are then yes, that'll be in the book.

I wish I could sit down with you and show you what I have for the whole thing.
Do you have any ideas for a conflict between Jake and Taylor?? That was a suggestion in class because I have one page Taylor is going to college and Jake is not, so he is just standing there sad... So I'm been trying to think of something where either he gets something that she can't to equal out that she's going to college and he is not... I haven't figured that out yet...

Yo, friend, I have a question for you if that's alright?
How do you post your watercolour paintings? Do you scan them or photograph them?
If you scan, do you have any tips, cuz every time I scan my paintings I always get this horrible bleaching effect.

I scan them most of the time. Sometimes they do get bleached out, sometimes not.
If it doesn't work I try taking a photo and adjusting it in photoshop. It's kinda hit and miss.
Also, normally have a lot of color in my watercolors so, I think the more color the better the scan will be.
Dont' know if that helps or not.

Yes, it helps a bit.
Most of the time, my watercolours are kind of wishy washy so maybe if I darken them, they'll turn out better.
It's worth a shot.
Also, with PS, I tried adjusting mine but I got no clue how to do it properly, lol.

Also if you get a better quality watercolor brand that's more pigmented that could help to.
After my watercolor class a few years ago I have been using M. Graham watercolors... which is honey based or something. It stays wet longer when on a paint palette. I don't think it affects the drying time of the painting itself though.
You could try some photoshop youtube videos? I'm not sure what to suggest. Half of what I learned in photoshop I learned in school so... I'm not sure...
