Hey there your artwork is amazing! I love your concept design works. What study did you do to get to these paintings I wish I knew how you started to the point where you realize your art is good enough to show people. Did you do a lot of still life before getting into creating your works or you just to talented to even say? Cheers in kind regards.

I think getting your art out there for critic as early as possible is good :) (Smile) But find places that actually gives critic tho, like art groups, art forums. Places like facebook and deviantart is great, but in the end its more about showing art than actually getting critic and learning. You will be amazed how much other peoples opinions can help you improve. When to start promoting your art is a hard question. First of you need to be comfortable with the level it is at, and at the very least it need to look finished. Dont remember who said it, but a talented artist said that when you can put your art together with other well know artist or professionals and it dont stick out like a soar thumb, you might reached a level that is professional.

hahahah, no dude, would not really call myself talented. I just did a lot of crappy work before i did the less crappy stuff i´m making today. It is really that simple. You want to be good at character? Cool, then do a lot of characters, compare yours to other artist, see why other artist are better than you, study it and repeat. Good luck on your art dude and just keep on pushing forward :) (Smile)

Hey thank you Awesomeplex sorry for the really late reply I have got some stuff but I dont really use deviant art for it. But just want to say thank you for this inspiration I just read today, been busy with a new job buts its distribution centre for 50 hours trying to fit my time for more painting. kind regards

hmmmm. sorry have to write in english in school on english keyboard :P (Lick) Anywho i have yet to find any really good digital art books:/. I mostly learned all my stuff by study other artist. Really enjoy ld austin og mr jack cuz they both primarily use hard brushes and very shape oriented. Yeah study shape the only way to get better break everything down to basic shapes. look at vehicle design and aircraft design videos at gnomen workshop they helped me a lot understanding shapes. And when it comes to color try to make it work without rendering everything rendering should just be the icing on the cake :P (Lick) if that makes sense

I'm back! I'm sorry it took almost half a year, which is insane :s I had some long term difficulties in life so that I had to put this project on hold for several months. I just finished the model though: puu sh/6HG1D.jpg
It deviates from the concept here and there, partially because I was aiming with what I define as Dota-ish style and partially because I'm still horrible at faithfully projecting proportions from 2d art into 3d unless it's a sword or something :s
So what do you think about it? Would you still be up for it? Do you have a steam or/and skype account? If so, please add me - "mechbgum" for both.
