I bet the little fluffs of love are trying to bring you joy and cheer for such a special day. And why wouldn't they? Goes to show -- that deep down in all that fluff -- they really care in how you feel. If indeed so, they are good friends, no, they are more part of your family who want to show their affection towards you. For that very thing should count as a reminder of what you have to appreciate. Cherish it always!

Oh, they have, especially the youngest pair. Munchkin has been hopping on my lap while I'm gaming, usually if Lester is there, but has hopped up without him or stayed for an extra minute or two when he leaves. She really loves the petting and scratching I give her, but still flees in sheer terror if I were to approach her. As for Spirit, the youngest, she's been hopping up for a few seconds to get a couple of pets in, which she loves and doesn't flee in terror if approached.
They've come a long way from being terrified little cats to loving cats and I'm sure they'll continue growing and get closer to my mom and myself.

Hehe. Indeed. In the end, through all the troubles you had with them at first, they became part of the family. Figuratively speaking of course. But, regardless, our pets (depending on circumstance) can have a special place in our lives, or our heart, depending on how you look at it from perspective. I do hope it'll be that way for you for awhile to come.

They are part of the family. I see the cats as younger siblings and to a degree, I think they feel the same. I know Lester certainly treats me more as a littermate than if I were his mom or something.
