Thanks! My ancestry is pretty evenly split Anglo-Saxon and Celtic, and I was a European history major in college. It's just always been fascinating to me. U.S. history isn't old enough!

have you ever been over here to britain? i dont mean the usual london trip, everyone assuming the whole country looks like that... i mean the little villages more up north, wales in particular. and cornwall for the celts?

its a nice change to read someone that finds it interesting. feel a little proud! lol!

We went to London a few years ago, but we made it out of the city a little--to Windsor, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Oxford, Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, Dover, and Canterbury, so we saw a little of the countryside. It was June and all of the flowers were blooming. It was beautiful. Next time, I'd like to fly into London and take the train to Edinburgh. I'd also like to go to Wales and hear a Welsh men's choir, and then there's the book festival in Hay-on-Wye. If it weren't for our stupid jobs getting in the way of our travels!
