'fraid i still do. there's this organisation, maybe you should check it out--it's called ACAS (Assoc of Comic Artists of Singapore--or something). they put out this scifi and fantasy comic anthology awhile back (incidentally i contributed to the scifi one) and um, well, they publish now and then. i think.

but damn, it's cool man, what you;re doing. i hope i can be self-published one day too. (got tons of comic ideas that i wanna do.)

yah i remember them. The head is a New Zealand dude i think. Its not hard la, find a small printer shop willing to print comic book sizes and contact bookshops should be ready liao. The local comic artist circle very small should b no problem. U just need some capital for the printing.

yeah i know getting it printed isn't hard. what's hard is finding the courage and the confidence to actually go do it; putting your name out there on a book. i don't want to end up with a lot of unsold books on my hands, or putting out stuff and finding out that nobody really appreciates it, know what i mean? it's like a test. and failure might result in some kind of stigma, or something.

well, anyway, good luck with your venture. it's nice to see you doing this.

there's not much competition. Cos everybody is doing their own thing in their comics anyway, so its not much of an issue. its definitely a risk, so far i dun think any of us has actually broke even on our sales yet. There isn't much faith in local comics in the first place by the public. Most people already think it sucks before reading it. i dunno why that is. But yah u definitely have to really want to do this if u want to put out ur own comic. Theres no gurantee for success. Thats why theres not many people doing it and prefer a stable job. Most of us have to self promote in order to sell out stuff without the help of publishers so obviously its not a easy thing to sell local comics.

biopunk was inspired by my experiences working in offices

in mindef during army days. And alot of Matt Uelman of

Diablo 1's music. i like ur deviantid and webcam pic, they

should let u do advert posters. Think u got something going

on there.

book 6 took last Mar until this Aug. 1 year 6 months.

Its now sold in 313 Harris Books and BooksActually at Tiong Bahru.

The story demanded the thickness, that is if i'm lucky of course. Workwise, no i'm

not lucky. The time length scares me. Longer and longer!

Depends on what you want to study. But the class atmosphere

there is rather informal. Parts of the courses that come with your

degree are not so fun, some are quite fun. Interesting people all

over the world. Beautiful trees and houses in the neighbourhood.

Good place to focus on what you want to do while in school

I see, thanks for the reply! Mind if I ask if you were on any scholarship (SCAD's or Singapore's?) when you studied there? The tuition fee is quite extravagant to afford IMO...

Nope. They have student loan, but u

have to get in first. Most schools in America

aren't cheap to get in, i can imagine.

Really depends on what u want to study

though. Consider only if u think its worth it.

I went to Savannah College of Art and Design for sequential art

bachelor degree. I did go thru the traditional drawing classes and

stuff. I had alot of fun with comic writing and drawing short

strips though. They give alot of freedom on things like that which

was great.
