Not much. Was into comics and animation in the 80s then in the early 90s got into programming computers professionally (the comic industry was a mess back then) and only in the last year or so got back to drawing.

 I was doing Graphic design up until about 2000, and the market just fell out from underneath my feet. I had to work at an office as a temp and I was sucked into the insurance industry.  I got back into art 7 years later. It's a difficult thing, clawing out of 9-5 work. Are you just getting back into art for fun, or is there a greater career plan?

Just for fun for now. Looking at selling prints maybe and doing a few commissions and small jobs here and there but not getting back to full time with it. It's hard. Back in the day to really live you had to a) do at least one book a month (two would help) b) do conventions and sell your stuff c) do side jobs to fill in the cracks. Even then unless you were a Neal Adams or John Byrne, you didn't make much. Comics are fun but it's a hard life. For me, if it stops becoming fun I leave the theatre and that's what happened. Too much politics (you didn't even own your artwork back then). Maybe indie publishing is the way to go but again it's a struggle to keep up a community and following.

Indie is where I'm headed with my work. I have no real interest in working for the big two. It's slave labor unless you hit it big like Capullo. And my understanding is that the editors are constantly changing story on the writers and the artists, making double the work. Not my cup of tea. Besides, indie writers are so grateful when they get artwork. I can almost see the tears of joy through the emails.
