omg oh jeez ok first of all thank you so much for saying you love my art cause ajdbf you have no idea how nice it is to hear someone you've never met say that. Second, I want to apologize for taking so long to answer. Honestly I’ve been putting it off because every time I look at this question I just can’t stop blushing and smiling and giggling like some sort of school girl who just got complimented by her crush. Anyway you have questions so here goes.

You asked how I started and, well, honestly I started drawing because my older sister like to draw really cute cartoons and I thought they were amazing and I wanted to be just like her so I copied her stuff and drew things with her, you know, to get her attention and stuff. Later on she sort of stopped drawing but I didn’t. This was around the time I entered middle school, where all the horrible school memories start. Around that time I had little to no friends and drawing really helped me cope with my loneliness. BUT ENOUGH SADNESS the point is that I kept drawing and drawing and even made friends with people through our shared love of drawing (this is when i was introduced to the wonderful world of manga and anime) and I just kept at it ever since. And that’s how I'm here today, in my second year of university majoring in art.

Ok so ADVICE GET READY CAUSE HERE IT COMES:

The best method to start drawing is the old school way: with paper and pencils! And how do you get better? With PRACTICE! Practice and practice and more practice. I know that’s what everyone says and I know it sounds like homework but it’s not! What I did (and still do) was draw when I was bored; at school during class, at home when there is nothing good on TV, when I’m waiting at the doctor's office, everywhere! Soon enough you'll be looking through your notebooks and you’ll notice there are doodles in almost every page. These little things are what help you get better without feeling like it was work.

Here’s some advice on how to improve your arting skills: OBSERVE EVERYTHING. If there is something you want to draw, like hands for example, observe your hands. Observe other people’s hands. How they move, what emotions they can convey, what the muscles inside look like (seriously though, knowing how the body is inside really helps you convey what is outside accurately). You can get magazines and just draw all the images of hands you can find. Study the composition of the thing you want to draw. simplify it into geometrical shapes. then simplify it even more into lines and dots. Look at how the shadows are depending where the light comes from. Focus first on the overall pose before adding too much detail. Stuff like that.

And to answer you last question: no, you do not need a tablet at all. Learning to draw with a tablet is staggeringly different than learning to draw traditionally. For one, you need to learn how to use the drawing program before you can even start to figure out how to use the tablet system! My advice is to draw traditionally first and when you feel ready to draw with a tablet; either gets someone to teach you how to use the software and hardware or try to figure it out on your own. (I suggest getting someone to teach you cause I’m trying it out on my own and it is the most confusingly difficult thing I have ever had to do)

Oh God, I'm flattered that you took some of your time to answer me and explain me the whole thing. Thank you very much and don't worry about the "delay" of the answer. Really. I blushed, smiled and giggled too when I saw your response. I got way too excited; so lets blush together haha

I'm always doodling around, so I think that I'm going on the right path. The observation part is the one that I'm always missing. I tend to get so hypnotised by the drawing, that I usually forget to observe and take some refferences.

And thanks a lot about the tablet thing. I was going crazy! 
I was like "Oh gosh, everyone is using one to improve their drawings. Does it mean that I'm missing something? Am I doing something wrong?"
But I'm glad to read that the best way is using traditional art, because the pencil, the paper and I make such a great team. We understand each other.
