i have to say your paintings are amazingly gorgeous. i absolutely adore them.
I am an art student in Canada and for my class we need to find three artists that we wish to incorperate into our style. I was wondering if it were possible if i could print some of your photos for my class? i will of course be puting your name with your work so everyone who sees your work will know it's you.
either way, i can not wait to see more of your beautiful works. (:

Awww thanks that's really sweet! Sure feel free to print them if they will be useful. As long as it's not for commercial purposes it's really not a problem. Could you let me know though which ones you're looking at? Good luck with art school!

Hi! Before anything else, I would just like to say that you create such breath-taking art! It's not everyday that you come across a sumi-e artist from the Philippines.
And just so I wouldn't run the risk of sounding like a creepy stalker, I would like to introduce myself. I'm Myra, a graduate student taking up Japanese Studies in Ateneo and I'm conducting research on art and yokai. So you could imagine my excitement when I came across a contemporary artist with works that incorporate yokai elements in her works.
Anyway, it would be great if we can exchange some e-mails sometime. I' really interested in your works. I can't wait to see more of your creations!

Thanks so much, Myra! Really nice to hear from someone who is also enthusiastic about yokai and art I sent you a note for a more detailed email!

that's a good brush for sketching and learning the strokes, but I suggest after you get the hang of it, you can also try using the real fude, made of animal hair check out my previous journal entries on some recommendations, particularly this one on Sumi-e basics. Hope it helps!

Loves your gallery. Hey, are you Chinese or Japanese? because your name is too Chinese for a Japanese
And that two country means a lot to me. China is where my ancestors live and Japan is my favorite country (I wish someday I could live in there with my family)
