honestly the way you respond to people definitely does make you out to be the age you are. idk dude maybe you should start acting ur age or something ;3c
and ya know i don't really think that you calling them a bastard and yelling at them really did it!
idk it might be because tons of people called them out and several people traced back who they stole from! i mean i don't know but that might! have been why!
you were not the only one to comment on the person's page or art. several people did actually. all of the artists they stole from had been notified, and people that had commissioned them had been notified, and journals were made and posted all around here! that is why they deactivated, they got called the fuck out. there is practically no way to recover from that!
art thefts don't really care if anyone yells at them, but they do care if most people know.
responding in the way that you did was inappropriate. your art was not stolen so technically "this doesn't involve you"
i understand that it sucks that people steal art, but you were in no way involved with this, and you aren't some savior because you yelled at them and they happened to deactivate
you could have just reported them, but instead you felt the need to yell at them

From the way you're acting, it seems more like you're 12.
You have no right to attack someone if you weren't the one stolen from, nor should you go about notifying someone in that way. You should tell the artist and the artist will choose what to do β it's their work that was stolen. While the user deactivated in this situation, the instance could have escalated because of your interference. Sure, "you did it," but that's not how you handle a legal situation properly. I know as an artist I want to handle my own issues of theft and not have someone else handle it for me. People have attacked my art thieves before notifying me in the same way you did, and that's only made the situation worse. It's rude to interfere without permission from the main party.Β
The way you handled that situation was also wrong. If you did receive permission, I'd advise saying "Hey, this was traced/recolored/etc. from ____, and they don't appreciate this. I think it good you take this down." and not cursing in all caps while insulting the thief. Once again, this can potentially make the situation worse.Β
I also think it rude to come and respond to my best friend in such a way on their profile. You're trying to start a fight, and this act of aggression is just annoying. Alex and I mostly just find this annoying, and neither of us will attack you or anything.Β
I have no intention of offending you and apologize if I have done so, but I feel as if it would be good to educate in this situation. And before you say "Hey, you didn't get permission to reply to this and intervene," I did in fact get permission to, which Alex can confirm. I had noticed this when visiting and asked the situation, then asked permission to reply. Be informed, do only as you're allowed when it comes to someone else.Β

In addition: I think no matter what you face, it's important to show a sense of kindness and calm. At 15 I went through the worst tragedy of my life, but I never wanted my anger at the world to effect others. Even now it's hard to handle the trauma of what I went through, and I'm still angry when certain buttons are pressed, but I never want to lash out at others.Β
Sometimes no matter what you do, you can't diffuse a situation through kindness, but I still think it's what's truly right to do in the world.Β
Keep in mind I don't know what you're going through, and I won't tell you I understand your pain. Your suffering is yours, and I wouldn't know how things feel exactly to you. I can never say that good will come, but I do know that you are the one who can control how you react to what comes and give meaning. I hope things get better for you.Β

there is a difference between someone asking for help and someone saying to attack them.
they asked for help. this could have been awareness, giving them advice on what to do, or reporting the user... not attacking them and yelling at them like a rabid dog.
yelling at someone makes the situation worse, it does not help it.
people like you are the reason why i hate it when people post journals calling attention to art theft...
you do not handle the situation carefully at all. you intervene without asking and you yell at these people instead of caring about what the artist thinks. this is not helping
