Hi, I'm Chesh. I draw stuff, I guess. They/them pronouns, please.

I'm planning to launch a webcomic, Song of Heroes, at some point. Eventually. Gonna see how much pre-production (some of which I will post on SoH's site) I get done in 2019 and go from there lol.

I have like a billion fandoms. Mainly Danganronpa but you can probably tell what my other current hyperfixations are based on what my most recent fanart is of.

Sure! Thanks for the interest! Sorry for the delay, I'm waiting for a warranty replacement on my tablet, and I haven't been on devArt much in the meantime lol. 

Since I'm still new to digital art and especially to comic-ing, I wanted to do a relatively small-scope, short-ish?? story as a sort of learning-by-doing thing! So even though it's adventure by my definition, I'm not sure how adventure-y it will seem to other people, lmao. But essentially, the core cast wakes up in a place called the Tower of Trials, and need to pass seven trials in order to escape. Along the way, they uncover the mystery of how and why they ended up there, and may or may not prevent an apocalypse. 

I'm not sure how long it will end up being page- or chapter-wise, but the scope of the story is just the journey through the Tower of Trials. I'm still hammering out the script. ; 

I'm hoping to have a better website put together by the time I launch the comic (probably in Jan 2019), because right now I'm using tumblr for it and that's really not ideal, but I have rudimentary cast profiles and an about page if you're interested! Here's the link !

I love the style of the characters-- it will be interesting to learn about each of them when the story begins.


There are plenty of useful free platforms to post comics on. I'll agree Tumblr isn't the most ideal platform when you want people to be able to read posts from oldest to newest, but there are plenty of other places to go with. Honestly, DA isn't too bad, though I've never been good at posting links to next and previous pages in the description, because that mess takes too long.


Have you looked into Tapas? I have some friends that use it, I just haven't done much research on it, myself.

Tapas crossed my radar, though I haven't looked into it too much yet. I'd prefer a more independent website, even if it does cost a little money, but depending on how my financial situation's looking, Tapas is a good back-up plan for a free option if I need one. 

I'm planning on posting the pages on DA, too, so I'll definitely try to remember to update next and previous links, lol.
