# About me
I'm shy and bad at self-promotion. I like historical/supernatural anime and manga, morally dubious characters, Japanese mythology, and intricate art styles. I also like making hats. Hats are fabulous.I was introduced to cosplay and anime by my sister aecr in 2004; she has since left the hobby, but I'm still here working on leveling up my craftsmanship!
I'm working on a BA in East Asian Studies, with a particular interest in Shinto. Outside of academia and cosplay, my hobbies include gardening, reading, bicycling, figure collecting, and exploring wild places.
Chilmark is the name of my hometown in Massachusetts. A gryphon is a mythical beast with the head of an eagle and the body of a lion. It's been my screen name since 2001, I can't seem to pick a new one...

Heh, not to worry, real life has to come first in all situations.
I also know my DA account has some random things that kind of scare people off so it really never bothered me if people don't counter-watch.

Did you ever finish the costume that you made the paperclay ears for?

Nope :/ They were supposed to be for Demon!Chrono from Chrono Crusade, but that project got canned after I tried on the neck armor and wig together, and discovered that I looked comically skinny and huge-headed in them. ALAS.

d'aww. Could you at all still share how you got the paperclay to stick to your ears? o.o I had no luck.

The finished ears were never stuck on with anything, they were just sculpted to wrap around the base of my pinnae securely. My ears might just be a weird shape o__o Maybe add a thin wire headband over the top to support the weight, if that's what makes them fall off?

no, I mean while you're sculpting the clay. But I think I know what you mean now. The first time I read it I didn't get all the way to the headband part. I am a fan of not having to have a headband. So now I'm just using a molded cast and model of my ears, using sculpey to make the long pointy part, and then re-molding a cast of those and using liquid latex since I fortunately am not allergic. Woo re-planning things XD
