Japan does have a higher living cost, compared to the USA. Especially with fruits and vegetables because they grow them so much bigger. Some things are cheaper, like healthcare.
Noodles? I'm guessing ramen noodles? No, I don't eat ramen everyday. Maybe only 2-3 times a month. I have soba noodles about once a month, udon noodles maybe 5-6 times a year, and soumen noodles 5-6 times during summer.

Possibly. I think sushi is more common.
But not many people eat noodles every day. It's not healthy to eat it everyday.

Depending on what kind of school you work at, it can be either fun or hell. The place I work at is just about in the middle. I do love living here, though.
