it's just because it's what i'm used to. i started with firealpaca because it's simple so i could focus more on improving my art skill rather than trying to work out how to use a program. i attempted to use sai and it was just weird to not have everything (changing brushes, etc) be second nature. I might go back to it in the future (very soon) but who knows.

i gave fireaplaca a try, and you're right, it's very simple. it's like a combination between sai and photoshop (cause sai has no type tool and rectangle tool). thanks for the answer!

if you'd like to try sai again, i have the installation file. it already has a lot of brushes, textures, and patterns.
