hello! (sorry for the late reply, i'm terrable)
Right now i am using a swann morton scalpel with a 10A blade, I'm no where near as good with scissors. I will be changeing in a few months hopefully to a knife i helped back on Kickstarter, Ergo Kiwi. its been designed to help combat the hand problems us crafter get. Ive never been so excited about getting a new knife before!!
Paper wise i dont use anything special, i just pick up coloured paper and light card when ever i see it, we dont have a art shop in my town, so i just hord different paper and hope that i have enough of the colour i need.

very cool! Is a scalpel different from an exacto knife? I use an z-series exacto knife. It works pretty well, but the blade breaks very often. I am curious to try other options. Let me know what you think of your new knife!

I had to google exacto knife haha. There seems to be two types, one with a snap off blade and the type you use. mine is like yours, just a different shaped handle.
I have the same problem with my blade breaking, usually just the very very tip. I generally just carry on untill its not cutting well and change the blade, most of the time i used between 3 and 5 blades per paper cut.

Dont worry your not inadequate at all! I love the cut you sent me, I have it framed and ready to hang, I've just not had the chance to hang it.
I was gonna upload some pictures of the castle, but my computer finally died. I am getting a Mac mini tomorrow, it's not ideal, but it will be nice to have a computer that doesn't crash when I run more then two programs! I have a bunch of images that are stacked up waiting to be edited.

Oh I love it! I took a part a float frame and a shadow box to rig up my own frame for it. I think it worked out well. I need to take photos of this thing later to show you!

And then immediately started to feel bad. Because what you did was so much better! (While you might not think so, I do!) So, really, honestly... thanks a million.
Sorry to hear that your computer died. I went through that some time last year, too. It wasn't fun at all and I really liked my old computer. But you're right. At the end of the day as long as it doesn't crash, it's all good, right?

Dont feel bad!! Yo have no need to ! I love what you sent, and dont feel like i "got the short end of the deal" at all. i promise.
New computer is finnaly up and working. its taken me long enough. Had to order a cable online to connect it to my TV, then get hold off photoshop and illustrator again. It still wont talk to my scanner so im stuck with photos for now. luckly i have been using photos more then scanning latly anyway.
I feel like i'm finnaly back in business! I've been working through my sites trying to update and improve everything, even set up a twitter and instagram (although now i feel dirty haha).

Glad to know the computer is up and running. And it certainly would feel nice when you are back in business. I remember when I had to move to a different outpost last time and couldn't take my scanner with me. It was pretty awful trying to put new things on-line. It was such a struggle that I gave up on my weekly series.
Why would you feel dirty with Twitter and Instagram? You're an artist! You need to go out there and advertise yourself!

Still not got the scanner working, think its a deffinate no. Doing ok with photos right now, but there are a few things i really need a scanner for, so i new one might be in order ... once i have some spare money anyway!
I just hate social media. Tumbr and DA are ok, facebook is a nessisery evil and the rest i'd rather just egnor haha

Sorry to hear about the scanner! Wow... it sounds very broken, indeed. I'd say you're doing good with the photos, though. They turned out in a nice enough quality for showing purposes, that's for sure. So maybe there isn't that big of an incentive to get a scanner, especially when the money isn't there yet.

... which means I also ignore most social media. And I feel like I'm happier this way.

I do wish i could get rid of my facebook. But it would meen cutting contact with a load of friends that ONLY use facebook. Think i would be happier in some respects ... but also lonlier

Feacebook has become a bit of a necessary evil in this day and age. That's why I am a conscientious objector in this area. But I don't recommend anyone else to get off Facebook, especially when it's important for them to keep in touch with other people. It's just a tool more than anything else, really. And it's not that bad of a thing if used correctly.

Haha, sadly we don't have elder scrolls online. Right now we don't have a computer that will run it, but we are both saving up for a gaming computer next (instead of the PS4 XP).
Don't worry about being late or not, there is no time frame for the trade. I did however finish yours today!! yay!! Ended up looking a little different then i planned, but its all done! i hope you like it!!

They do take a long time. But the better I get the quicker I become, so it does get easier. We all have endless patiance for atleast one thing we do, mine is paper cutting!
