Hi! I went to the premiere and I gotta say it was AWESOME!! Every detail was on point and even the jokes (the granny using her shoe when she's mad, for one) were 100% accurate, I feel really proud of the way our culture was represented!! Everything was really beautiful from beginning to end, I watched it twice, as it lasted like 3 months on theaters.
The Frozen short was the only thing we all hated, it was so disliked by everyone that it was removed from all theaters nationwide, but other than that, everything else was perfect!

I am happy to hear this :-) (Smile) . I've read so many posts from people who spent majority of their lives wishing they were White, they all said how uplifting it is to see a movie like Coco. I'm glad you also liked it. Representations are so important. I'm a little ashamed, but I recently picked up a book about Mexico just because I was hoping to write historically accurate Coco fanfiction ^_^. It was also because of this movie that I tried churros for the first time. So yes, this movie is very influential ^_^

i wanted to comment on your latest redo of kion but the comments were disabled. Kion is a great concept, but the problem with him is that he was completely random and inconsistent. If he was born first at the end of the first lion king movie instead of kiara, then it would have made more sense to me. This is also true for Zira. Disney randomly stuck her into the plotline as well which leaves A LOT of loopholes. Where did she come from? Why did she get banned? What was her relationship with Scar? Why does she hate Simba so much? How did Kovu come into the picture? Again, great characters here, but not enough development.

They also have this problem with the little mermaid sequel as well by sticking Ursula's sister out of nowhere seeking revenge against the death of her sister. If they had her in the first film, it would have made more sense.

Once Disney learns to straighten these kinks out then they could all become great characters.
