I'm not sure if you remember me, but we were trading ideas on Wings of a New Dawn. I hadn't heard from you in a while and was wondering how things have been on your end. I'm still after more full-time employment - who isn't? - but things are moving in the right direction. I've been able to secure a few more hours, and my position with an unpaid software testing pilot program will soon become a paid position as a full-fledged tester...when they hurry up and sign the contract, that is. How about you? What's the current project?

Wow that was awhile ago wasn't it. Well I am not currently doing anything with Wings of a New Dawn currently I am sorry to say. It is hiatus currently. As for my current project well currently that is nothing for Life is being a pain right now. But I am going to see about getting back into Gundam again for I have out in other fandoms the past months.

Perhaps, in this chapter or the next, we could get into Claudia's reaction to Roy not coming home and how it was discovered that Roy was missing rather than dead. Perhaps, when Claudia hears the news, she either refuses to believe it and pours over the sensor data to find Roy still alive or, seeing that Claudia is unraveling, Lisa does so to try and give her friend some closure. In either case, Roy is intially presumed dead because the beacon from his ejection pod stopped transmitting (the most likely cause being that a Zentraedi blasted it). However, when either Claudia or Lisa (or both, perhaps) take a closer look at the data, they discover that the beacon didn't stop transmitting; it was moved out of range of the SDF-1's sensors. Inserting a portion like that would explain how Gloval and the others on the SDF-1 knew (or, at least, had good reason to suspect) that Roy was still alive. They likely would have little concrete evidence as to the culprit (the U.E.G, I presume?) but they'd likely suspect the Zentraedi. After all, who else would they suspect at such a juncture? Does this sound good?

You're known as DeathZealot on fanfiction.net, right? I heard you're rewriting that ROBOTECH fic Frozen in Time. Coolness. I read that story back when you were first putting it up. I liked it, but I thought it needed some polishing. I did have some thoughts from my last reading (and a couple of new ones that popped into my head when I read that the BATTLECRY characters would be in on this version). Correct. I am deathzealot on FFN. And yes I am currently rewriting Frozen in Time. I think I got it pretty much covered, though some ideas on the sequel will be welcome. The sequel is going to be my NaNoWriMo Project this year, and I might need some good ideas. I have a couple large ideas that started this whole thing, but other ideas will be welcome.
However the Battlecry characters may not have a large role in the Wings of a New Dawn, thanks to it focusing on Rick and Lisa. The sequel might have them a more major role.

Well, I'll start off with two items here:
First, however much face time the Battlecry characters get, I think this would be a great chance to flesh out the whole Jack/Izzy/Hiro friendship. Also, if Jack stays on the SDF-1 (possibly he decides to stay after attending Roy's funeral, assuming Roy still dies) perhaps he can also play a role in helping Rick to cope. Or, if Roy lives this time around, maybe Roy and Jack could share some of the old war stories with Rick for a few laughs.
Second, as I said earlier, I like the idea of the Allie computer being able to "choose" to help Admiral Hayes but, if you're interested, I have ideas about how to redo the execution. Please let me know if you like the idea.
As for ideas for the sequel, that's a little tougher since I don't know if the ending will be the same this time around. I remember that the SDF-1 and its fleet left earth after the U.E.G turned on them. Does that still hold true? If so, then what is the U.E.G's reaction? Perhaps some amongst them decide that, if the Zentradei are simply after the SDF-1, then the U.E.G capturing the space fortress and handing it over would be an effective peace offering? Perhaps Hayes and Gloval, realizing that they can't go head-to-head with the enemy with the U.E.G poised to stab them in the back, try to covertly recruit allies from the military? Another thing I'm wondering is if the Macross people will stay in the ship this time. Perhaps, with the two super computers, an option that was overlooked in the series is discovered? Finally, I'm wondering about how Rick gets on with papa-in-law. I don't know much about Admiral Hayes but, if I was in his position, I'd be concerned about my daughter getting pregnant within hours of her (rather rapid) marriage. A lot of couples who do what Rick and Lisa did usually don't last long; I suspect Rick and Lisa will be the exception, but it would make sense for Hayes to be concerned. Any of this sound good? This sounds promising though, if you wanted to keep this under wraps, sending it via a note would've been better. I would like to know what this SDAC is though. I do like the idea you have going for the second front in the ROBOTECH War. The SDF Vs. SDF idea is especially cool. Perhaps you can add in such details as how the RDF manages to find Jericho Station. Is it by chance or did they already know it was still out there? And, for that matter, was it abandoned after the Unification Wars or did the U.E.G commandeer it (and, thus, needed to be kicked out)? Perhaps you can also tie in the idea with Allie to my thought about Gloval and Hayes trying to network other allies. That is, Allie is also identifying and jamming such transmissions. Perhaps, however, Allie is only focused on blocking transmissions that occur on or reach Earth. Perhaps those defectors from the UNDF intercepted on of Gloval or Hayes' transmissions in midflight and THAT influencened their decision. Also, you mentioned that the U.E.G seeks to capture the SDF-1. Do they want it because they believe the Zentraedi will leave if the SDF-1 is returned or because they want it to use for earth's defense? If the former (which seems more likely) perhaps you can add in that the SDF-2 was partly built as a back-up plan in case the Zentraedi didn't hold up their end of the bargain. Finally, how did my ideas for Jack stepping in to help Rick cope with Roy's death (assuming Roy still dies) and Hayes being leery about his daughter's marriage strike you? Please let me know and catch you later.

/blink/ My ships. You mean my lonely pair of Frakenships (i.e Baracheil and Shimakaze). Those aren't technically mine. They are modified from the original image by myself. Also normally people have watched the series those ships are from and know their size anyways so some kind of size chart is kind waste of time.
