You might look into the works of Richard DeVore. Also this book [link]

Both emphasize texture informing function. It seems like you're trying to do that in your work, but the glazes are typically overpowering that message.

It's ok, it happens a lot. Normally I don't respond, but I know you are a good contributor, so I felt the need. haha! I have been asking the person who left me in charge of the group of they could up my status, because basically all I can do right now is accept work and post journals. It's very frustrating, because they keep telling me they will, and they never do. So, sorry I can't get that changed in the group to avoid future confusion!

Nah not LSU, SLU actually. Apparently LSU has a nice ceramics department, though; I know someone who majored there. I don't really have anymore info than that, though XD

Ah, you should try it. I did ceramics for 10 years before taking a metalsmith class. I was in love at first hammer blow Also doing ceramic sculpture, I think gives you a leg up compared to other beginners, because you already understand how to build in a three dimensional space and metal is surprisingly elastic.

yeah ive worked with metal alittle bit in the past with welding thats about it.I started off as a mixed media sculptor then discovered ceramics and completely changed my media. Im still very interested in mixed medias but as we all ceramics has enough to offer for several life times.
