# About me
Born in Poland, Filip started doodling at an early age inspired by his dad (who, somehow, still wants to have nothing to do with it) and continued on throughout all his education, consequently failing to realize what is it that he could be doing when he's grown up.After finishing his BA in political science, disillusioned about a possible career as a politician, journalist or a president he moved to London, UK to learn the language, verify general opinion about food and avoid paying his mobile bill...
While here, he picked up pencil again and... the penny finaly dropped...
Filip specializes in concept art, character design and illustration

Hi, just checked out your gallery, it's amazing. I love you're rough work allot. It's an artistic level I hope to achieve at some point in my life. But if I get there one day.
It's always amazing to see what some people can create with the same mediums everybody else uses.
Though I always wonder where everybody starts their journey to get to this point. Which actions they have partaken, and what their goals where, and what they are now.
In any case ! Amazing work, and keep posting !
Cheers !

Thanks a bunch, Mate. It means a lot.
With regards to the beginning of my journey, I am afraid I had been on a slow train with a broken engine for years until I realized the time "is now" if I ever want to work in something I consider worthwile...
Just keep pushing yourself and don't get the laziness kick in, I guess.
There is a whole bunch of folks who I simply don't know where they take their energy from. I look up to them and envy a little, too...
Thanks and all the best!

That's no problem,
And I tend to act the same. And I'll keep in mind not to let the lazyness kick in ;D
Thanks for the pointer !

Hiya! Just had a look through your gallery; there's so much amazing work in there! You're clearly every inch the professional - we of the UK artist community are honoured to have you among our ranks.

Nothing more than you deserve! If i were to even capture half of your skill in my work at some point, it'd be worth the effort.

Thanks, dude! These words are giving me quite a boost whilst reminding that I can be one bloody slacker at times. I should really push harder.
I just had a look at your gallery - you've got some really distinctive style - really enjoyable and your skill shows throughout.
Effort is what we all should put in at all times.

Pushing on and really going for the gusto is good, but like with gambling, the true artist knows when to walk away (cheesy, i know, but it's apt!); as long as you give your all to your work, you can ask no more of yourself. I know you're aware of this stuff already, and it's like the mouse talking to the lion, but i think no matter what skill level artists are at, there are common ideas and principles that we can all share.
On a less formal note, thank you so much for having a look around my gallery, and the fabulous feedback you gave me - i'm honoured to recieve it from such a skilled illustrator.
While i'm writing, there's something i think you might be interested in; it's called Imagine FX, and it's a UK-based magazine that covers all aspects of digital art. I haven't got all the issues, but it's safe to assume that each month they'll have a selection of tutorials and how-to's from some great artists, along with some seriously fabulous artwork. I'm nowhere near the standard that the magazine caters to, but i buy it to keep my hand in with the scene, and occasionally learn some new techniques - however, i think you would get more out of it than i would. It's fairly pricey (Β£5.99 a pop!), but it is worth it, especially as it comes with a CD containing tutorial files and stuff they've used in the magazine (Photoshop brushes, for instance).

Very well put. This is one of the reasons I go into denial when someone's praising my stuff the way you just did - I wish I always knew when to "walk away" from a piece. I believe that skill(knowledge) will be mine one day
Speaking of ImagineFX - my lovely wife just had a little moan at me yesterday for insisting on keeping all the boxes with this precious magazine I've been a subscriber for a good few years. I love it.
I was once asked to feature on the DVD Expose with some of my pieces but is was a long time ago. I am thinking of sending them some of my more recent stuff soon. Maybe I will get lucky again.
Again - thanks for your kindness. Your words really mean a lot!

Walking away from a piece! I talk a good game, but there have been times when i've actually ruined artwork by overworking it (it doesn't help that i have OCD, either!). I'll go back to pieces sometimes weeks after they're officially 'finished' - usually i'm crawling over the image with a magnifying glass, adjusting individual pixels - and it's supposed to be fun! I'm a fucking idiot.
*grins* I thought you might be an Imagine FX kind of guy - pretty much everyone in the UK who is even remotely skilled gets it. As for appearing on the DVD, that's (please excuse the language) fucking ace - congratulations! I would get your best work sent off as soon as you can - i'm sure i don't have to tell you that the competition is fierce.
I'm pleased that what i said came across as i intended. Keep on keeping on - it's a never-ending journey of self-development, but that doesn't mean that you can't end up with a lot of beautiful work on the way.
