Oh yeah I know about your blog Though honestly I forget to check those things. What I love about dA is that everything just shows up in my inbox, haha. I'll try to visit there more often cause your stuff is just really cool.

Yeah, Deviantart is pretty cool for that, although I follow so many people my inbox is just swamped to the point that I generelly ignore the new art xD

I feel Deviantart's quality has gone down though over the last years a lot, and there's a lot more crap to shift through to find the gems, and I've kind of gotten tired of that.

I also usually skip a lot of the new art in my inbox unless something really catches my eye. It's a shame, but once I am in need of inspiration at least I know whose galleries to check!

Haha It wasn't meant to be.

That's awesome! I'm still pretty awkward around paint, although I quite like watercolours now.

I'm doing okay, trying to get my freelance life off the ground. It's not so easy and I'm having to face a lot of fears and problems on the way... but I'm moving forward... slowly slowly...

I've also taken to designing blog templates and selling them over Etsy www.etsy.com/shop/Mindflight , which has gotten off to a surprisingly decent start, and I'm trying to figure out if I'm suitable for blogging... or not so much www.mindflight.me And I'm taking calligraphy classes, which is pretty awesome. I don't draw as much as I'd like, but at the moment trying to build a business is swallowing a lot of time.

I don't think there's been anything terribly exciting, I've been pretty inactive myself... maybe you missed some people getting their knickers in a twist due to design changes or April Fool's jokes, but that'd have to be it I think

I'm doing okay, money is a bit of a problem at the moment, I'm freelancing and still building up the money to make a living
But apart from that, life is good <3
My relationship is wonderful, I'm back at karate and am pretty fit again.

I've started blogging over at at [link] as well. Sharing art, calligraphy and random stuff at the moment and using it to keep track of my projects. Do you have a blog by the way?

Good to hear you're doing fine!
I'm doing pretty well myself, I feel like I'm up for some exciting times. I will be studying Illustration in Hamburg coming semester so I'm excited as well as a little scared, of course, since it involves me living on my own in a foreign country for six months. But I'm sure I'll have a great experience and hopefully learn a lot to also get me started as a freelance artist.
Your blog looks real nice and inspiring! I've liked your facebook page, maybe I can spread your business page amongst my friends as well to widen your audience.

Any recommendations for my business are totally welcomed Starting out when no-one knows you is haaaard. And I need to get over my fear of approaching strangers to offer to work for them xD I'm so not a sales-person.

I've also opened an Etsy store [link] , I want to see if maybe I can sell some blog/website templates for a bit of extra cash. Coding like a lunatic at the moment. Blog design is fun and great practice Plus I can use it for my portfolio.

Selling yourself as an artist is hard indeed, I've noticed that barrier myself as well. But I guess it's something we'll just have to break through in order to get somewhere.
The templates look pretty neat! You're lucky that you know your way with codes, I couldn't make something like that to save my life haha... But looks like we both got stuff to keep ourselves busy art-wise.
