I hope you understand that I will only comment on your question of rejection. It is not right or fair to compare your image to anyone else since when we review images for entrance we do so one image at a time. For me personally a piece of fine art is more than just a well created image. It is something that connects to the emotional core of the viewer. When it comes to photography, as a photographer myself, I have an even higher standard since photography is the only medium that has the ability to replicate a moment exactly as appears. Please understand that I see what image you were working towards. The leading lines, the repetition, even the framing are obvious and all well crafted. The problem, as I see it, is that there is no point of connection to distinguish it as art. The name of the image is Winter's Bridge but with exception to the sides of the bridge there is nothing to say that this is winter. This image could be a spring frost and no one would know. The bicycle signs could have lead into an interesting story but the are just there distracting from the scene taking away from the starkness of winter and having a conversation about transportation. Then there is nothing specific about the bridge highlighted since it is entirely in focus and thus appearing flat and lack luster. Add to that the lack of rich whites or blacks which further diminishes that visual and there really is no need to continue. As a whole the image is not bad but it also could be a whole lot better. I would encourage you to continue even if you don't continue to submit to us. I hope this answer satisfies your query. Happy shooting.

Thanks for yet another reply. I have already received a less polite response from another mediator of your site explaining that my entry was not submitted because it was already submitted to other groups in a larger number than you would prefer. Though I do not agree with the reasons, I respect your group and your wishes. And no I will not be submitting my work to your group anymore. Your other group member made sure of that. Even though, as you will see from my responses on your main page, I was nothing if not understanding. Yet feel very much belittled and that my work was rejected out of spite and clearly not the educated response you have attempted to give me.  I appreciate the feedback none the less. Okay man I get it! I was not pushing the point. Actually I was trying to be quite polite. As for the shot itself I enjoy hearing constructive criticism, in fact I encourage it! But it sounds to me like you are coming off a little abrasive. What exactly does that mean "is another question"? What is your question? Do you mean my photo is another matter? That's what I think you meant by that.

My apologies if you were not pre-judging my work with you statement. Which it sounded very much like you were doing. Calling my photo "Another matter" I did take offense to. If that was not your intent then let's call this a day. I make what would be called a decent living selling the work I produce. The masses have spoken and my art is falling on the sharper side of things. I will not make the mistake of submitting art to your group. I see now how it is, your plan to assist other artists break new ground. And it is not what has worked for me. Good day and good fortune to you sir.
