I'm finding it great technical practice for colour and actually finishing things. A full illustration takes a lot of work so it's nice to just.. finish things!

It is, but it can be disheartening sometimes which is why it's nice to have the "simpler" just figures to blast through and actually finish.

Hahah, Jen Zee has beautiful taste of painting. And i don't know why her blog or deviantart aren't including her all works. She is an illustrator at Giant Games and she did an amazing job at Transistor. You can look Transistor's cinematics! (I am stealing more times but you gonna love it! hahah).
