Can you please makeΒ an exact copy of blue vision but make it red because I seriously need a red version of the Bluevision Alpha, I would do it my self but I have no clue how to do it and I have seen another theme where someone else did change it to red but they didn't post it for download.

Hey, are you aware that a work in progress game called "Star Citizen" (which don't get me wrong is an amazing game) is using parts of the bluevision skin you made for rainmeter in the cockpits of some of their ships? did they pay you or get your permission or something?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LoganStonehurt In reply to Bizzclaw [2014-11-08 15:06:47 +0000 UTC]

Heh, he is, as far as I know, their official UI artist, so that's not very weird

Hello Burst-Design & Bizzclaw!

I am not the official UI artist for Star Citizen, that would be Zane Bien atΒ z-design.deviantart.com/

Truly an amazing artist. My skin is based on his brush set.

As far as I know these are just placeholders in the m50 ship. Obviously temporary UI replacements as the real UI is animated and functional.

z-design In reply to g3xter [2014-11-22 10:44:01 +0000 UTC]

If I can offer to shed some more light (as I'm just seeing this now), I design and build functional HUD and user-interface for gameplay, and don't really have much of a say in what's used for temporary cockpit "filler" or placeholder textures during the actual modeling phase of our pipeline. So I could really be just as surprised as anyone else whenever I plop in a freshly modeled ship into the editor for the first time.

Of course, you can expect to start seeing less "placeholderΒ textures" being used as the new UI & switchology standards begin to come online for the ships... sorry g3x

g3xter In reply to z-design [2014-11-23 00:22:25 +0000 UTC]

Hi Zane!

It was obvious that it would be nothing more than a placeholder; IIRC I was 15 when I made this Rainmeter thingΒ

I have no experience in animation or functional UI design whatsoever and my major has nothing to do with creative work; Frankly I cannot understand the ongoing popularity of my Rainmeter suite as it's just eye candy with little purpose. I stopped updating it years ago due to lack of time and interest (and probably talent).

I've since moved back to a plain (sometimes cluttered) desktop with folders and occasional wallpaper changes.

Your work on the ship's UIs has been amazing. I don't play video games anymore, but I'll make sure to test play Star Citizen once it's released.

That was it! I knew there was logic to it. Thanks for clarifying. I think I remembered reading you used his brush-set and that he does work for Star Citizen, but I had forgotten that link.

I love you work, and added it to my desktop.
The only thing that would make it perfect would be a taskbar with shortcuts for our favorite applications.
If you devellop one that would be great and would allow us to hide definitly the Windows ugly desktop toolbar.

Hello!

First off, I should let you know that I am a BIG fan of your bluevision project. It's probably the coolest thing I have ever done to my alienware m14x.

Now, I do have a question though, and maybe this probably is not possible, but I was wondering if I can extend the size of the notepad feature, and perhaps have a scrolling sidebar if I put alot of text in it.

Thanks!

hello. me and my boyfriend are fans of your blue vision rainmeter skin...especially the start up sound.

what i was wondering was if there was any kind of way of changing what it says when you log on and if there was a shut down sound in the works?

thank you for your time.

also i am using the headphone background you uploaded, just wonder if you would make the waves between the the ears bit an actual equalizer in the same design - preferably for iTunes would be great to watch

I think there's a couple of equalizers out there for Samurize.

You'll need a plugin for foobar2000/Winamp though.

Hi, Love Your Stuff, Really Beefs up my desktop, and like you I run multiple monitors. Just wondered if you have ever thought of making a task bar, because I know if it was epic like the rest of the stuff you create I would use it to replace my windows one without a blink of an eye. Thanks.

G3x, I was using this and I Love it dude!

It's incredible what you can do with this, I got all this and a GIF Script of an Adjutant + I changed all my windows sounds to Adjutant and skype and all other programs too.

This is like having a completely different PC, I would Love for you to expand on all of this!

I'd love to give you some ideas or something!
Could you pleaaaase expand on the WinAmp skin, so that I don't have to have Winamp already running for me to use the skin?

g3xter In reply to NoXQ [2011-07-11 01:51:24 +0000 UTC]

Thanks.

Music players in Rainmeter are merely remote controls for programs. There is no way you could make a working stand-alone player in Rainmeter.

Wow, great work! Quick question, any idea what the technical term is for your avatar is? I'm interested in what that's called, and if it's possible to make a rainmeter widget like it, that is actually functional?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

g3xter In reply to teknogeek1300 [2011-05-14 21:09:21 +0000 UTC]

Technical term, eh?

I'd say it's a very fancy version of an oscilloscope graph that measures loud music.

No way in hell any system monitoring software could do this on your desktop, your best shot would be some of the visualizations from Milkdrop for Winamp [link]

take care

Using your Blue Vision skin now. Its unbelievable. Just to say, any chance of you making a spinning moving Abstergo logo? (Assassins Creed) Because that would just be plain badass.

g3xter In reply to TrampMasterFlash [2011-05-11 14:19:16 +0000 UTC]

I you find an animated .gif of the rotating logo, then yes, that's doable.

IIRC there's a .gif splitter included in my skin, so you can split any gif into individual frames and replace the standard ones.
