Hum...I don't know how to do this in another country ( I'm french ) but here, you have to create a portfolio ( not online, a real one so you can show it while meeting your recruiter if the place where you pitch yourself doesn't have any internet access ). Your portfolio must show two things : First are your best artworks, on paper and also CG ones if you already work with any 2D or 3D software, and then your great, epic, and wonderful motivation for beeing an artist in their school. The most difficult thing to achieve is probably to find your best suitable school, depending if you want to do 2D or 3D jobs after, and if you prefer to go in gaming, building, design, tradditional art, animation industry...and many other ones I may have forgotten ^^"
You'll have to stay motivated while you're studying, even if your teachers try to hunt you down, even if your collegues tells you that you're not made for this life. None of the artists in the world was born with their actual skills, no one. All of them are good only because they keep practicing over and over.
That's all I can say for now in english and I hope it's mostly understandable ^^"Β
