This I feel relates to me. And I can agree with your last statement. Iβm glad to have some engaging classmates in my college, some I call acquaintances or potential friends.
Five years ago on Scratch, I made a profile dedicated to personality quizzes and it instantly became a hit and later emerged as a trend. Iβd wake up every day thinking about a quiz idea. Now that I have way more responsibilities as a young adult, I think moving my focus a bit less on my online followers was for the greater good.
I hope ghostsheriff / SharkyPup is doing alright with life and all that. Weβve both been through a similar βphase,β if you will, of internet popularity that itβs hard for me not to feel linked with them.
Because of that, Iβd really like to meet someone whoβs gone through something similar in the real world, like them. But my instincts tell me that there weβre a minority, so I donβt feel feel like I could relate to my classmates in school. At least Scratch was a very fun and rare experience for me. Not many people have gone through something like this, so I feel kind of special (in a good way). Plus, Iβve a created a new trend thereβand influencing a community is a good feeling within itself. As Iβm pursuing my computer science major, I always think about my Scratch journey because that community fostered and founded my proclivity for programming. π
