A friend and photo/rival did a long-term project documenting this club last semester. All summer I have been working with a local features-based paper and I remembered the cool stories about this place, so we did a story on them. I was only there an hour, maybe, and the guys didn't seem to mind. They were very respectful - but you could tell they also showed off a little. Especially the little guy - I couldn't get him to stop grinning at me....

Italy is gorgeous '- the Sistene Chapel left me speechless for quite a while, even marred by the masses of people....and I swear I could spend hours in the Pantheon....I really wish they hadn't been doing renovations and half the building was blocked with scaffolding....off to Venice......

It's a two-week study abroad for a world literature class....and who knows what the weather will be doing. I'm in West Tennessee right now and it should be gross and bitter cold and depressing, but we're having sunny days in the 60s.....usually days like this in January are breed days followed by a massive storm, and we've had a week of them. Just hope the storm waits till after Thursday so my plane doesn't have any problems....

Yeah, get me a present...take some nice photos! Italy is always good for beautiful scenic and romantic shots.
Oh, by the way...when you're finally in Italy...stay away from any music by "Eros Ramazzotti" (it's hideous) but when someone offers you a drink by the name of "Ramazotti" all's well, especially ice-cold after some yummy pasta.

I've seen Bob Dylan live once and imho he was one of the worst performer I have ever seen (and I've been to a lot of concerts).
A brilliant songwriter, if not one of the best songwriters of the 20th century, but it seemed that he doesn't have a clue what he should do on stage.
No "Hello", "Thank you", just rushing through his setlist.
Anyways...I'm sure you will enjoy your time.

yea! - a note from my favorite German man....
I'm most excited about the photo opportunities - having pics of Bob and Willie will improve my portfolio...... and I would have liked to have seen Elvis (if I had been born before he died - even one of the last, crappy, fat shows) - so, this is kinda my way of seeing Elvis - except it's Bob.
My guitar instructor - who refused to take off work to go with - said the last time he saw Dylan he performed "Watchtower" in the Hendrix version and that cracked us both us.....
