I'm itching to get working on the website, if only i could find the freaking time! I really dont understand it. I have finished school, yet i feel like i have less time to work on my work. It's damn annoying.

he hasn't gotten back to me. im going to email him, even if he cant set me up with a domain, some webspace would be mighty nice. I have been playing around with designs, and for the life of me i cant seem to find my groove, everything i have been doing has so far been rather soul-less... i think i'll let it slide for a day or two, hopefully i'll get something i like after a break.

great to hear your enthusiasm dude, but before we jump into designing the layout we have to work out what we are going to have on it. You know, the scope of the site. Because we are going to be using donated space and server we might not be able to do something as big as wasted youth etc etc. So for now i think i'll jump around and visit all kinds of art communities to sorta see whats going down. IF we follow this Artist's Haven line of thought then maybe we could like split the page into two sections, resources and gallery/ect... and if people see a peice of work they rather like, they can view a list of the resources that artist used - so they can go grab them too... or sumthing. I dunno, i'll keep brainstorming this.

now the PHP thing... i learnt a bit of PERL (used for CGI scripts) but i was never used it in any of my sites because:
1. I never got around to it.
2. By the time i could be bothered PHP had become the code of choise...
What's the point? Apparently PHP has roots from PERL, and if it does then we are in luck - because it wont be that hard to learn .

I'll be offline for a day or two, cause of my last exam, but when i get back i should hopefully have some developments to share

dude, you're like a homing pigeon - the day i finaly finish all my real exams you get back from BC... i've been away from the da 'loop' (as zindryr so put it) for roughly since i last commented here. sure i have logged on to check things out, messages and so forth, but i havent been that active. but during the last few days good things have been happening .

allow me to explain.
Tom, the dude who bought my webpage, asked me if i could re-send him the .psd - his computer whent down you see. So i tell him i cant email it to him because of hotmail's file size restrictions, and he directs me to a ftp dropbox. i drop it off and he tells me he would be more than happy to donate me some webspace and a DOMAIN!!! i say to myself. So guess what? The webpage project we had going on is still going to happen dude! and we might even get some funky perl or php shit happening that i couldn't get with my uncle's server (because he would have made us/me pay).

So slap that thinking cap back on and lets brainstorm what we are going to do with this opportunity. I was thinking maybe we should make it like a 'haven' for a bunch of different artists, like let them have some space to upload work, and we could run a news page and have our own shit happenin...
i dunno my brain is going at a thousand miles an hour and i still have another exam in two days .

So tell me, what was it like down in BC? apart from the little mishap with your nose and stitches....

I had a run of practice exams the other week (during my term break of two weeks) and i didn't fail one. I did score 51, 54, 58, 75 and 88 in Maths, Physics, English, Graphics and IT... but hey, i didn't fail one (which is good, considering the average mark in those exams was a fail). All is looking good for the final exams, which begin in two weeks... thanxs for the well wishes .
