by the way, sorry to ask this, but how long have you been drawing for? (like, taking art seriously and all that~) i'm just asking because I've been drawing seriously for a few years now but I just don't feel like I progress fast enough //cries ;A;;

but this argument really isn't valid because everybody progresses at their own paceΒ
and they set the pace by how much they draw or what they draw or see or understand
so it's kind of hard to gauge it based on comparison! you do you, really!
it's your journey, and you've gotta make what you want to make of it >w< <333

even if some things come along and tear you down, you've always gotta pick yourself up and remember how much you love it,Β
because your love for drawing more so outweighs the bad times >n<

Comparison is the worst, especially when I find artists who are younger than me and also better than me ;v;; I told myself I should stop comparing and start taking inspiration instead, that's a better way to look at it I think.. c':

For me, it's so hard to change those kinds of habits... I know I still find myself comparing even tho I told myself I wouldn't (especially looking at the age of the artist compared to mine which is... pointless, really). I've been doing it for years, I think that's why.
But I tell myself that if I keep practising, one day I can be as good as them too! ; v ;
