Minimalist writing is a curious beast - like an oxymoron. Minimalism is about cutting off frills while creative writing is an excercise in frilliness. The two work against each other by their very natures.
With my writing, I try to explore the question "How do you break the rules of something that exists because of those rules and which rules must remain intact?"
or
"How many walls can I burn down and still have a roof?"

Poems I hated? Well, "Seasonings" wasn't that great in my opinion (perhaps I don't understand the point), nor was "drip, ripple" (though it would be an interesting effect if applied to more visually kinetic typography) and "Lost For Words", simply because it's been done.
On the other hand, your explanation of minimalist writing is very satisfactory; very much explains your way. Like the roof metaphor; got a laugh out of it.

Seasoning needs fixing, because it's grown too obscure. The original idea was taking the seasons and making them all into words that describe the season. Where there is Spring and Fall, Winter and Summer don't seem to fit - so I've renamed them Sun and Snow. Then, when I typed it out, it looked like a set of commands for the sun to spring and the snow to fall.
drip, ripple I want to turn into a performance piece with the use of an assistant.
And you're right about Lost for Words - I was just very upset and wanted to write something and couldn't. I suppose it's more personal than conceptual.

As for drip, ripple; that sounds like a nifty idea.
And for Lost for Words; that's understandable. I've had those troubles as well, but usually the writing that comes out of it is fairly awful or is now deleted.

So hows it been since graduating? I know you've made journals and such about it. Next year will be odd without a lot of the people who graduated.

Yeah, it's been odd not being around my underclassmen friends. It's been pretty good though. I started off maybe a week after graduation having a job that paid 25$ an hour, but not often enough. So sadly, I had to quit. Now, after months of nothing inbetween, I have a job refurbishing old IBM and Dell computers, which pays... a looot less, but a lot more often. Can't complain, feels great to work. Me and my girlfriend are doing great, and besides certain physical ailments to deal with, all is well. Thanks for askin'. ^^
How about yourself? Not that you have to go as in depth, of course.

Life has been great since being with my Girl Friend. I've never looked forward to school before now, its odd. The only reason I do now is because her father hates me, seriously. And for no reason other than I'm me. And he refuses to get to know me for fear he will. He is so insecure and jealous cause of how me and her feel about each other. Bad part aside, I got a new desk and some comps to take apart. Chad moved, though I'm sure you know that. Driving my truck more and getting pretty good. No job to speak of yet. Overall its been good, regardless of her father. He hates the fact that I haven't left yet. Figured he'd scare or annoy me away by now. He has no idea how we truly feel, even after she told him. Oh well, she is more than worth his stupidity.
Sorry for all the detail, but its been awhile and this is an update I suppose. Life sounds good for you so that's good to hear.
