Hey Gareth, I was chatting to you at thought bubble, and bought a copy of The Cthulhiad. Just wanted to let you know I read it this morning with my coffee :D (Big Grin) Thoroughly enjoyed it. You captured the eerie feel well, it was a good length and you built the main character very nicely, I particularly liked the bit where he tortured the old man then you realise he did it for fun, really showed what kind of a guy he is. So congrats on your first con, it was my first too this year, if you feel like reading my comic its free to download on my page. but it was nice meeting you and hopefully see you again next year! oh and ps have you concidered using dull ink washes very loose over this style of art? just I think perhaps a little colour could really bring a little extra to it, even just to seperate the feel of the different environments. Just a thought anyway, I thought the art was ace. Thanks for the read!

Hi, first of all thank you, thank you, thank you... taking the time to write your thoughts on my book is very kind.

Really glad you liked it and sure I'll take a look at your book!

As for colour, the originals have a slight ink wash, Some have a wider colour range. I simply opted for b/w to make the books cost effective. I may well be selling some of the colour work as prints however.

Thanks again for coming by my stand and taking the time and money to invest in my project.

My pleasure mate, I really enjoyed it. Plus it's nice to talk with other people who are passionate and motivated, and facing the same challenges. It's all very inspiring haha. Did you find it was cheaper to print black n white? I never looked into it as our quote for full colour was quite reasonable. How did you find it all by the way, Do you intend to return next year?

Definitely going back next year, I'll be booking a table as soon as they become free...

Ian McQue (and possibly Francesco Francavilla - according to their Twitter feeds) are going to be there next year possibly, so I'll need to save some pennies to buy a print or two... laughs.

It was going to be out of my price range to print 40 pages of colour and then a cover, but out printers here in Hull were lovely to us. They also helped out my table mates with their comic, reducing the London print costs they first were quoted by HALF!

Loved it, definitely back next year!
