I just wanted to say that I absolutely loved the Babe Sapien costume!! I want so badly to be able to make something like that but I'm new to cosplay and don't know where to start! But can I just say that I loved it so much and it was amazingly realistic!! You should be so proud!!

Thank you that means a lot!Β If it's any help I had no idea what I was doing when I started, and my first few costumes were laughable!Β I just pick something out of my comfort zone every time I pick a new project, that way I'm forced to learn something new.Β Don't let not knowing what you're doing stop you from making things. So pick something you like and just go for it. I can't wait to see what you make!

I do remember that costume. I think I have a few photos of it kicking around someplace, but they aren't very good. Sadly the costume didn't survive the move to my house years ago. I'm flattered you remember that costume! It was my first real "leg armor" costume.

oh, by the way, would you happen to know some good facepaint brands? My friends and I are planning to do an alice in wonderland themed photoshoot and I was going to paint a smile on whoever wanted to be the Cheshire cat. The facepaint I have now though starts cracking and peeling once it dries.

I'm not sure of a good brand of facepaint. I would most likely try to do it with makeup and a spray that sets it so it won't rub off. Or look for Theatrical Makeup to use. I hope that helps!
